Chapter 20 Part 1

It is the day of the festival and everyone is getting ready finding outfits and packing what they think they would need. The men in the group get ready in Chazz's room as the girls meet in Jennifer's room where everyone gets dressed and fixes their hair. As they finish up most wearing summer fashioned dresses in their favorite colors. Jennifer's hair is pulled back in a pony tail with Kairi having long pigtails and Shizen having a more down and wavy style being loose. Hiki and Kura's hair are down and wavy with the two strands in front pulled back and Hiki's hair having a small braid in the tied back parts. They hear a knock from the door turning out to be Chazz, Tori and Yami so they can get something to eat before they leave.

Jennifer: (Walks with the group as Jennifer makes sure everyone packed everything they would need). Do we have everything? We can leave everything we bring at the inn when we get there. I think we may need to with everything we have here.

Chazz: (As he tries to remember what they will need). I think so since I had the room reserved ahead of time so we should not face many problems checking in.

Jennifer: Very well, it should be fun going as a group like this.

Kairi: (Almost is jumping up and down in excitement). It really does, it is going to be so much fun!

Kura: I can't remember the last festival I went to. I believe it was when I was very small but it's hard to recall.

Yami: Huh I don't think I've been to one... Well maybe to pickpocket a few people when I was on the street but that's it really. (He shrugs).

Jennifer: (Hears Yami and subtlety shifts her purse so it is on the opposite side of Yami).

Chazz: Well everyone should be able to have a good time there and understand since this is a human festival that no one should cause trouble there.

Kura: I agree and no one should use their powers unless needed. (She mostly looks at Yami while saying this who has a grumpy expression).

Shizen: Hmm it will interesting to see a human festival, it's been so long since I went to one.

Kairi: It really is a lot of fun, there are so many shops and games, and even events we can be in. It will be so much fun!

Hiki: It should be a fun time with everyone! I always like going to the festival.

Tori: I always wonder what it would be like going as a group so this will be fun.

Jennifer: I know it is an important day for the three of you going every year. Do you want us to give you some space for a bit to have time to yourselves.

Kairi: Aww but it should be fun as a group and make it even more special with everyone enjoying it together. It is like the little group got bigger.

Hiki: No, no I wouldn't like that at all! True it would nice for the three of us, but knowing that we will be with everyone for once is even greater.

Jennifer: Alright it will be fun then, and we will buy something nice from the shops.

Kairi: Ooh and the games are really fun too.

They continue to walk through the hall area, Kura picking up the lunches in the kitchen on the way.

Kura: I guess we are eating on the way if that's fine with everyone.

Jennifer: That is fine, I do not mind.

Kairi: Yay then we get there sooner!

Rowen: (He walks up to the group, meeting them in the hall). Well how is everyone doing. It would seem that we have a guest today.

Chazz: (He and the group look confused upon hearing this).

Jennifer: (Looks just as confused). What do you mean a guest?

Rowen: (As he smiles with a nod). Yes it would seem to be a Mis Lionheart. She said that she knows you Mis Jennifer?

Jennifer: (Takes a second to remember who it is from the last name then her eyes widen as she remembers being surprised). Do you mean Amber Lionheart; wow yes she is a friend. Is she meeting us there?

Kairi: (Gets a big smile as she remembers as well once hearing Ambers name). Oh yeah, she was really nice!

Yami: Wasn't she the lady that attacked Chazz or something with fire stuff.

Shizen: That was under Agni's influence and takeover of her mind so I do not think that really counts.

Rowen: well, she is in the main hall waiting for you then Mis Jennifer.

Chazz: Well this should be interesting since we have not seen her for a while. Hopefully she has been alright.

Hiki: Maybe she could come with us to the festival? Hmm master?

Jennifer: It would be nice to invite her to come with us and besides she probably got the invitation to Kairi's birthday party. She is a little early but I believe we have enough rooms for some of the guests.

Kairi: Maru's going to be staying here as well but I think he is coming on my birthday and staying the next day too.

Jennifer: Oh I remember and guest the rooms will have to be made ready ahead of time. (She looks at Rowen). Could you or Chazz please tell some of the maids to clean the guest rooms while we are gone?

Rowen: I have given the order so I will joining them later to help clean up but I will going to see your mother now so I presume that you all are going to see Mis Amber then?

Jennifer: Yes we are oh and are you joining us to the festival? Kairi: Mom should come too, she is always in her study doing her work, and she needs to have fun as well.

Chazz: We can if you want to have her come along and it would not be bad to have her with us.

Hiki: Yes it would be great!

Rowen: Yes, yes I shall talk to her about it in a little bit.

Jennifer: Very well, we will meet you at main entrance when we are leaving.

Shizen: And Orion will be meeting us there, I know of a hidden spirit gate near the city so I will meet him there.

Rowen: (He bows his head as he leaves to Cordelia's office).

Chazz: Well shall we get going then? We do not want to keep Amber waiting.

Jennifer: Of course, it will be nice to see her again. (She starts to walk to the main hall with everyone as Kairi skips happily beside her).

Kura: (Notices Yami still has his eyes turned black and red and she frowns). Yami you need to hide your appearance again, can you hide your eyes now?

Yami: Umm hold on a second. (He closes his eyes for a moment then opens his eyes being back to just the red). Did it work?

Jennifer: Yes it did, thank you. We do not want to cause to much attention to ourselves.

As the group comes to the main entrance they see a black haired girl with it braided and then put into a loose bun. She is wearing a summer dress with red decal on the front dress with a very red lipstick worn and ruby earrings.

Jennifer: (Goes up to Amber first with a big smile). Amber I am glad you could make it. It is nice to see you again!

Amber: (She turns around and sees Jennifer and smiles as she gives her a hug and then Chazz). Hello, it is nice to come visit again and hi everyone!

Kura: (quickly tries to fix Yami's appearance in back of everyone).

Kairi: (Looks up at Amber with a bright smile). I am glad you could make it Amber!

Amber: (She smiles at Kairi as she pets her head). well I appreciate the invitation so I thought why not come a little early and surprise you and everyone else.

Jennifer: We will have the guest room's ready by late afternoon for you but right now we are going to the summer festival in the city.

Kairi: You can join us if you would like. It will be so much fun!

Amber: Oh, yes I forgot there was a festival today, would it be alright if I could come with since I would be waiting for the guest's room anyway?

Chazz: I do not think it would be a problem, especially since I did not get much of a chance to talk to you last time so I think this will be another good opportunity for re-connection in a way.

Hiki: (She whispers in Chazz ear). Master I hope you do not try to cheat on us now, than again Amber is cute as well.

Tori: (He laughs a bit as he stands by Kairi having overheard).

Chazz: (He flusters up as he looks down and Amber laughs). Amber: Well I see that everyone is as lively as before.

Jennifer: (Blushes slightly but smiles). I think so, there has been a lot going on recently so I guess it gets very crazy around here but it should be fun for today and tomorrows party. How are you, I have not heard anything from your family since you had left.

Amber: (She pauses for a second). Well things have been iffy in reality... It was mostly my decision to come since I have not seen everyone but I have been handling my business with them.

Chazz: (He seems bothered by how Amber says this as well as Hiki and Tori).

Jennifer: (Gives a confused and concerned look). It is fine if it is something you do not wish to go into detail with, but we are here to help any way possible if that helps. (She smiles kindly).

Amber: (She chuckles). Well I am ready now since my stuff is in storage for the moment until the room is done so I am ready to go now actually... Is that alright?

Chazz: Of course it is, I do not see why it would be.

Hiki: Yay everyone is coming now! (She gets a bright smile on her face as her strand of hair flies across her face).

Rowen: (As the group is talking with Amber, he shows up escorting Cordelia to meet with them).

Cordelia: (As Rowen escorts her arm around his as she smiles wearing a royal blue dress with flowing fabric and a sheer blue shall). Ahh I think everyone is here, great.

Kairi: (Goes over to Cordelia with a big excited smile). Yay does that mean you get to come too mom!

Cordelia: (Pets Kairi's head and smiles). I suppose I am, it has been so long since I have went to the festival so I guess I can take a day away since Rowen convinced me to go. Rowen when we get there think of it as time to relax as well. I know that you work even more then I for this family. (She smiles insistently at Rowen).

Rowen: Whatever you say of me madam I shall accept your request... However understand that my duty still stands in some moments.

Chazz: (He sighs). Yes, yes well why not we all just focus on having a good time since I feel like we could use it and Amber it will be nice to talk to you again.

Amber: (She blushes a little bit). Oh... U-um yes I look forward to it then... N-not that I was looking forward to just you or anything... I came for the party and festival... Really that is all.

Hiki: (She smirks as she says to herself). Oh... I see you are that type of girl huh? Hmm that's kind of cute now Amber. (As she laughs to herself).

Jennifer: (Blushes a little hearing Amber and looks down a little but then smiles). It is fine Amber, we know what you meant and we are happy to have you come long so do not worry.

Kairi: (Still looks anxious and excited about going to the festival). Are the carriages ready then, can we go now? I cannot wait!

Rowen: Well they should be since you have let me know ahead of time so we can go now if everyone is ready.

Hiki: (She pulls Chazz and Tori). Come on you slow pokes, let's get going.

Amber: (She is still blushing as she closely follows).

Jennifer: (Follows as well and has a big smile and laugh).

Kairi: (Skips happily next to Tori, pulling him as well as she smiles up at him). Come on Tori, it will be so much fun!

Kura and Yami: (Follow behind everyone quietly not wanting to draw to much attention still around guests).

Shizen: (Goes up to Rowen's other side with a smile). Could I ask you to escort me as well?

Rowen: (Holds out his other arm for Shizen). Well of course I can, I have to be a gentleman now don't I?

Shizen: Why thank you. (She takes Rowen's arm happily as they follow behind everyone).

Cordelia: (Looks at Shizen and Rowen and smiles laughing a little). I am glad that your dates went well then Rowen.

Rowen: (As they are heading out of the door). Yes, yes well lets go have a fun time now.

As they head outside being two in front and already having their luggage on top they start to figure out who should go in which carriage. Cordelia goes into the first carriage with Rowen driving it as Shizen goes into the first one as well and Kairi and Jennifer head into the second carriage along with Kura and Yami.

Kairi: (Looks up at Tori almost pleading him to go into the carriage with her with a small pout).

Tori: Hmm alright Kairi, I will be riding with you then. (As he smiles at her).

Kairi: Yay. (She gets a big smile as she hops into the carriage sitting next to Tori as everyone else heads into the carriage).

As everyone goes into the carriage they settle in, Hiki and Amber having to go in the one with Shizen and Cordelia. In it and Chazz and Rowen steer the carriages it being a mostly quiet with some light chatting the trip taking about a hour at most the horses seeming to behave very well. It is not long before they see more and more people heading into the city with decorations of the summer festival as they stop at a Inn.

Kairi: (Looks out the window excitedly seeing they are stopping). Are we here!

Jennifer: I think we are at the inn to check in and drop off our luggage, but it looks like we are close to the area. I am sure we can walk from here once we are done.

Kairi: (Jumps up and down in her seat a bit more excitedly). Yay, I cannot wait!

Tori: (He chuckles a bit as he looks outside the carriage and sees everything and everyone still getting things set up). Well this shall be a fun time now.

Jennifer: (Looks out the window as well). It looks like it.

Yami: (Seems interested as well leaning over to see what's going on). Huh why are there so many people here?

Kura: Seems like a rather large festival.

Jennifer: It is and there will be even more people at the festival grounds.

Tori: There are usually a large amount of people here because the weather is nice but expect it to be larger at night.

Kairi: (Continues to have a big excited smile). Oh yes, because of the fireworks!

Jennifer: We usually stay until those and leave afterwards, but I think we are staying at the inn for tonight and then leaving early next morning.

Tori: Well that was the plan I was told anyway so it should be ok.

Jennifer: I believe so. (She looks out the front opening of the carriage for Chazz). Chazz are we at the inn, can we come out to check in everything and see the rooms before the festival?

Chazz: (As he looks down at Jennifer from the coachman seat). I would think so since we are here now but yes we have to drop off all of our stuff.

Jennifer: Very well, that should not take long then.

Kairi: Yay! (Is too excited to wait to be let out of the carriage and let's herself out bolting out in a instant).

Jennifer: (Laughs a little while shaking her head). So impatient.

Hiki: (She does the same as Kairi and laughs as she looks around and then smiles at Chazz). Yay we are here now!

Amber: (She soon follows Hiki but not nearly as fast). Wait up for me Hiki. Not fair to run out so suddenly.

Jennifer: (Laughs as she steps out of her carriage). I suppose everyone is excited let's check in quickly.

Kura and Yami: (Steps out of the carriage right after Jennifer).

Yami: (Looks at the inn being a large stately building like the mansion they stay at but with a logged cabin them to it). Huh place looks kind of big, this where we're staying?

Amber: (She looks at the two unknown people coming out of the carriage as she says to Hiki having noticed now that they have spoken up). Who are those two? I did not see them last time I was here.

Hiki: (Realizes that she should be careful of what she says). Umm that's Kura and Yami, two people staying with us.

Kura: (Walks over to Amber with a polite smile and a bow like a servant would act). Hello we had not met before, I am Kairi's personal maid Kura and the little boy over there is my brother Yami who stays with me though not trained as a servant. It is a pleasure to meet you madam.

Yami: (Looks annoyed about the part on being called little but his complaint is muffled by Kura covering his mouth still smiling politely at Amber).

Amber: Oh... Um... Hello there Kura... I am sorry about the rudeness... I just did not know who you two were... So I got a little cautious I suppose... Not sure... But again thank you, as you can guess my name is Amber Lionheart. (She curtsies with her introduction). And I hope to get along with you in the future.

Kura: Of course and please let me know if you need anything. (She curtsies back to Amber and then heads towards the inn before Yami can say anything).

Shizen and Cordelia: (Is helped out of the carriage by Rowen as they look around).

Shizen: Wow this city has grown quite a bit since I have seen it, quite impressive how fast your civilization grows.

Rowen: Well we cannot stay as small, we need to expand sometimes though for right now it is growing steadily.

Shizen: (Smiles at Rowen). I suppose so but this always has caught my interest.

Chazz: (He gets off the carriage as he walks towards Jennifer). Well shall we head inside Jennifer?

Amber: (She notices that Chazz called her by her name instead of Mis). Oh my, it seems things have developed.

Jennifer: (Hears Amber and blushes). I umm... Asked him if he could call me that is all.... (She tries to hide and cover her hand that she wears the ring on being embarrassed).

Amber: (She and Hiki both smirk knowing that is not true). Oh is that right now, well regardless this shall be interesting.

Jennifer: (Continues to blush). Umm, anyways let's head inside and take a look at the place. (She starts to head towards the inn to avoid becoming more embarrassed).

Chazz: (He blushes as well a bit but does not fully get why he started blushing as he follows her inside of the building).

Tori: (He hangs around the carriage watching everyone). Well this is going to be an interesting day now isn't master? (He smirks as he grabs Kairi's attention and heads inside the inn alongside everyone else)

Kairi: (Holds onto Tori's arm with a big smile while clinging to him).

They head inside the inn with everyone else the main area being large and made to have a log cabin feel to it with wood carving throughout the area and a seating area like a lounge. There are desks with people there to help check people in as everyone looks around and Jennifer starts to head to the check in area.

Jennifer: I will go see about the reservations made, one moment.

Kairi: Alright sis! (She goes to the sitting area to wait pulling Tori with her).

Cordelia: Jennifer let me help you, the reservations are in my name. (She goes with Jennifer).

Rowen: (He soon follows Cordelia as Chazz and the group finds places to sit down or wait around).

Yami: (Sits with Kairi, Tori and Kura giving a impressed whistle sound as he looks at the place). Pretty big place here.

Kairi: A lot of wealthy families stay here I think. I do not remember the last time I was here but it is really nice and the rooms are pretty big too. I like the ones where there's a door connecting to the next room.

Kura: I see well it should be nice staying here.

Chazz: From the times that we were here in town we never stayed here. We usually went to the smaller ones that had enough room for the three of us so being in this inn would be new.

Hiki: (As she is looking around the inn alongside Amber). Wow this place is really cool!

Kairi: I think so too!

Jennifer: (Comes back to everyone with Cordelia and Rowen staying to talk to the person behind the counter seeming slightly annoyed while walking over to everyone). Well there is a slight problem with our rooms.

Kairi: (Looks at Jennifer with confusion as well as everyone else).

Chazz: What is it?

Jennifer: The inn is overbooked so we do not have as many rooms as we had planned.

Chazz: So what are going to do then?

Jennifer: I am not sure but it looks like our group may have to share rooms. Worse case we have two rooms it looks like for certain so maybe separate it so that there is a boys and girls room.

Kairi: But there are more girls than boys, doesn't that make it unfair?

Jennifer: We do not know for sure but 2 rooms at least. Mom and Rowen are trying to get at least one or two more but I am not sure if that will work.

Chazz: Well how shall we split up the group then?

Cordelia: (Walks up behind Jennifer). It looks like we may be able to have two of the big suits we reserved but we can only manage to get 2 small rooms that can fit one or two people so we will have to work with that. I apologies for not finding more for such a big group.

Jennifer: It is fine, it happens but you can take the little room yourself if you would like.

Cordelia: Why thank you but no I do not need to.

Kairi: Ooh can I stay with wherever Tori is staying?

Jennifer: (Says rather quickly and strictly). No.

Chazz: (He and Tori both laugh nervously). Well we should get this figured out for now since we do not want to waste much time with this.

Hiki: (Clings to Chazz). I want to be master.

Amber: (She stays in the back of the three). I will be alright wherever I sleep.

Shizen: (Goes over to Rowen who is behind Cordelia and grins placing a hand around his shoulder but smirking slightly). What do you say about us taking the other small room hmm?

Rowen: Well if everyone else would be alright with it then I would not mind as much.

Cordelia: (Looks from Shizen to Rowen and laughs). I think everyone would be fine with that. As for everyone else, why not make it one room boys and other one girls like my daughter said. It is more appropriate that way.

Kura: If it is alright I would like Yami and I to stay in the same room but I can respect if that cannot happen.

Yami: (Shrugs seeming not to care where he stays). Sis I'll be fine, you worry too much.

Tori: I'll keep in cheek for you Kura so you don't need to worry about him so you can rest easy about that.

Hiki: (She growls but then sighs). alright fine, at least we will have fun.

Jennifer: (Looks apologetic towards Hiki knowing how she feels then laughs a little). Well do we have our rooms figured out so we can drop everything off and go to the festival.

Cordelia: Rowen had the people here take our bags up. If you want to stay here for a little bit that is fine or we can see the rooms after the festival. Two of the rooms are ready now but the smaller ones are not ready yet.

Chazz: Well we could just relax in the room for a little bit since I feel a bit stiff for some reason.

Rowen: Yes, a small break would be nice for the drivers here thank you.

Amber: (She and Hiki laugh a bit as they walk up to Chazz). Well let's get going then mister driver.

Jennifer: (Laughs walking up to Chazz as well). Alright, I guess we can relax a little.

Kairi: (Is still very excited with a big smile as she nods wanting to see the rooms).

Shizen: Hmm sounds like a good idea although I think I will be meeting someone in the forest area in the park that this city has now if you don't mind. I can meet everyone at the festival since it's part of the park once you are done resting. (She smiles while getting ready to head out).

Kairi: Who are you meeting Shizen?

Shizen: I mentioned meeting Orion here and I don't want to keep him waiting too long.

Rowen: Alright well we will meet you in a little bit after checking out the rooms.

Shizen: Very well sounds like a plan, then I will see you a little later then. (She smiles at Rowen and then places a kiss on his cheek before she leaves).

Jennifer: (Gives a surprised look as Kairi giggles quietly).

Hiki and Amber: (Do the same as the group head up stairs to their rooms).

Shizen laughs a little and then heads out the door looking a little more serious thinking about the meeting with Orion and the news he brings. She walks through the festival grounds leading to the large park looking at the scenery as she goes making her smile seeing the wildlife. She comes to a part of the park covered in trees like a small forest going from her memory of when she last used the gate hidden there. She sees a fallen tree blocking the seal on a tree behind it moving it with little effort. She places a hand that glows green on the hidden seal and it starts to form with green lights but having to wait a few moments for Orion to respond to the seal wondering if he is ready to come back or not.

Shizen: Come on now, it's rude to keep a lady waiting like this. (An door of earth energy opens next to Shizen).

Orion: Well it's rude to keep me waiting as well Shizen.

Shizen: (Laughs and shakes her head). Well using a carriage is not exactly the quickest way of travel, now come on out.

Orion: True it really is not but I have been waiting for a day now. I had to camp out with Adara until the seal was ready and oh she had her ideas running wild.

Shizen: Well you always liked camping and that's my girl for you. (She laughs with a big grin forming).

Adara: (Is also heard beyond the earth door). Hey mom you will not believe the books I found!

Shizen: (Her smile grows instantly when hearing her daughters voice). Well I look forward to it as long as you stay safe with what you learn from them.

Adara: (Laughs). I know, I'm smart enough to know that.

Shizen: I know, you're my little smart girl Adara.

Orion: I feel like I'm going to be attacked unless I do this but here you go. (He opens up the door so Shizen can see Adara in her room).

Shizen: (Gets an even bigger smile seeing Adara with a mothers pride).

Adara: (Has just as big a smile going over to Shizen walking through the door to hug her). Hey mom, I missed you.

Shizen: (Hugs Adara back both staying in the hug). I missed you to my little girl.

Adara: (Laughs). Mom I'm not little anymore, I'm pretty much an adult.

Shizen: (Laughs a little as well). That may be almost true but you will always be my little baby girl got it.

Adara: I know mom and glad you're doing alright.

Shizen: It has been quite busy and I hope you got the letters I sent to you. I missed you every day I was gone.

Adara: I missed you too and I got them. I always liked your stories you came back with.

Shizen: I know, I wish I could have done it in person like before when I had to go but at least now I will be able to reach you faster. (She looks up at Orion from the hug gratefully). Thank you Orion for giving me the chance to see her today.

Orion: Well I think it would be the least I could do and she didn't stop talking about you and all of these stories. You should have seen her face, all kind of expressions with each detail. I didn't know what was more exciting, the story or her acting it out.

Adara: (Looks back at Orion with a big smile). Well you should be used to it by now, I mean those types of things are to awesome to be told any other way.

Shizen: (Pats Adara's head as she laughs more). That's exactly how a story should be told.

Orion: (He laughs a bit). True you are right there, a story always needs excitement.

Adara: Exactly! (She has a big grin).

Shizen: (Puts an arm around Adara keeping her close). So anyways how are your little experiments going, no more explosions?

Adara: (Pouts). Hey there weren't that many and I'm getting closer to mixing fire and nature into it without fire destroying nature. I just am missing something but maybe one of the books I picked up will help. (She bites her thumb as she thinks about what she has been working on).

Shizen: Just be careful and no more taking books if it's the library I am thinking of. There are forbidden book you should not see.

Adara: I know, they have to big a price so they don't seem worth the outcome and even then the outcome is not guaranteed.

Orion: Well she did almost catch the room on fire and then blew up half the bookstore almost... But from what I could find I helped avoid that.

Shizen: Adara. (She crosses her arms looking at Adara who knows she's in trouble from the look her mom gives her and the tone she uses).

Adara: (Gives Orion an upset look acting like her feelings are hurt as she pouts). I thought you were the cool kind of uncle that doesn't rat me out.

Orion: Normally I wouldn't but you didn't listen to my advice so this might be payback.

Adara: (Continues to pout). Well just remember I know things that would get you in trouble too. Didn't you try spaying on girls in the hot springs last time I saw you?

Shizen: (Raises her eyebrows then shakes her head and sighs with a small laugh). Not surprising really from what I remember, and always trying to be such a ladies' man. (Both she and Adara laugh).

Orion: I did, I do admit that but I have given up that idea since I'm only getting older so that doesn't really fit me anymore.

Adara: (Has a hard time seeing Orion not getting in trouble like that and laughs).

Shizen: We shall see but you will always be a ladies' man though I would think. (She laughs patting Orion on the back).

Orion: (He smirks as he closes the seal real quick since Adara is with them). Well I cannot deny on who I am now can I.

Shizen: No you cannot really.

Adara: (Remembers something in her leather bag simply fashioned like a satchel that goes around her shoulder quickly looking through some papers). I wrote down some things you asked me to look into.

Shizen: I know, Orion let me know before he left and don't go into danger like that again. Each day it become less and less safe to do that and I don't want something to happen you. (She looks at Adara being worried for her safety).

Adara: (Hugs Shizen). I know but I wanted to help somehow and don't worry he won't hurt me, I know it.

Shizen: (Gives a serious look). That may be how you feel but in any case no more trips over there.

Adara: Fine I'll just wait until everything calms down.

Shizen: (Smiles and nods patting Adara's head). Good girl, I know I'm protective but I just want you to be safe.

Adara: (Gives Shizen a reassuring smile). I know and don't worry, I'm careful.

Orion: Now since this reunion is kind of done with why don't we get down to business before the rest of the group catches up to us?

Adara: Oh right, I think that would be best. (She has a more serious expression pulling out some papers from her bag).

Shizen: (Looks more serious as well). What did you find Adara?

Adara: Well mainly on his desk were complex seals. It was really hard to figure out and deciphering their purpose. I've been going over it all night, I wish he worded his plans more. They must be hidden but I can understand why. (She looks at one of the pieces of paper with an odd looking seal on it as she thinks biting her thumb).

Orion: And from what I can understand of it, it is a type of healing seal but yet at the same time it didn't make much sense.

Adara: (Continues looking at the seal seeming puzzled). No not quite, these lines in the center curve more so that means some sort of life seal or something close to that like those used to save a person close to death but still different from that... What is it though... Each end in the original seal on his desk had a pure element on either side, one being fire assuming that but the other was blank... Maybe if I could enlarge it or at least replicate it somehow I know what exactly he is trying to do but I don't think I have the right supplies. It looks like it required ingredients of some sort hmm. (She continues thinking looking at every angle of the seal trying to come up with an answer).

Shizen: (Looks at the seal as well trying to figure it out as well looking troubled by it wondering what Agni is planning while talking to herself). What are you up to Agni... What do you need pure element energy for... How does Yami fit in with this... What are you trying to accomplish?

Orion: (As he looks at the seal and tries to figure the seals meaning as he looks at Shizen and Adara wondering what they are thinking)

Adara: (Continues to think but more out loud). I do know that this is a seal that has to be done perfectly or else a heavy price is taken but doing something with such precision that could ruin everything if done just slightly wrong. Just one misstep, one wrong slight move... Then is it even worth trying a seal like this?

Shizen: (Looks down as she remembers some things of the past). I see... Like with Izumi... One wrong step and almost everything was destroyed....

Orion: Well we can look over it more later since I think people are coming soon but Adara I will be there to keep updates on the seal.

Adara: I'll try working on it right now then and tell you when I find anything then and mom it was good seeing you. Make sure you tell me all about the group your with now, from those letters it sounds awesome.

Shizen: Well you could meet them today if you like; why not join us to the festival?

Adara: No thanks, I have some research to do. I'll meet them after everything is sorted out but for now I want to focus on helping bring back the peace you always believed in and taught me to believe in as well. (She smiles at Shizen and then hugging her).

Shizen: (Hugs Adara close kissing her forehead and then grinning at her). I know Adara and I'm proud of you and the woman you're growing up to be.

Adara: (Laughs a little while grinning as well). Thanks mom, I'll see you soon then. (She looks at Orion hugging him as well). I'll see you soon too Uncle Orion, you two be careful.

Orion: Yes, yes we are always now aren't we? (He smirks which shows that he is clearly lying). I will check up on you probably tomorrow so don't lock me out alright?

Adara: Alright I will get to work on the seal now then ,I'll see you later. (She gives Shizen one last hug before she leaves as the door opens so she can go back to their world).

Shizen: (Smiles and hugs her back, wiping Adara's red hair out of her face with a small laugh). Bye my little baby girl, don't get into too much trouble.

Adara: (Laughs as she begins to leave). Bye mom, I won't and I'm not a baby anymore. Bye uncle Orion see you later. (She waves goodbye as both wave back to her and she closes the door).

Shizen: (Continues to stare at the earth door as the seal goes back to how it was on the tree before with a motherly smile). Your my little baby girl though Adara, you always will be.

Orion: Don't think that will be the last time you see her though. (As he closes and hides the gate).

Shizen: (Smiles at Orion). I know, it's just it feels like she grew up to fast. It feels like just yesterday she was a baby in my arms but she was always such a independent child though and I am proud her.

Orion: I know but you were always there to watch over her weren't you Shizen?

Shizen: And I always will be and you have as well... It's something I can never thank you and Mizuko enough for.

Orion: Well I have too because she is my niece and I always will take care of family.

Shizen: (Smiles at Orion as they start to walk back). I know and you always take care of us and others you care for like a head of a household. It's one of your best qualities.

Orion: Well someone has to do it since you don't really fit with that ideal now do you Shizen?

Shizen: (Gives a surprised look, pouting a little). I don't? I think I do a fine job with the Adara, nature spirits and this little group here before am I right? I'm a leader too council member Orion. (She laughs patting Orion on the back).

Orion: Yes whatever you say council member Shizen.

Shizen: (Laughs a bit more and then sighs looking down as she thinks of the information they had just learned). Orion... What do you think... From the information just now... I just have a very bad feeling about it... And my instincts never lie.

Orion: If you want me to be honest... I'm not sure what is going to happen... But I do feel something is wrong.

Shizen: I do to... We are not in the position to make any moves ourselves though. All we can do if gather what information we can and wait for his next move.... (She grits her teeth growling a curse word, wishing she could do much more).

Orion: I know you are getting impatient but it isn't getting anything done if we worry about his movements.

Shizen: (Sighs). I know and I know doing something reckless would only make things worse. Just sitting here and waiting is not exactly something I wish to do.

Orion: I think that is the same for everyone else. They all feel the same but they are putting up with it by going to this festival. I would think you would know them better.

Shizen: I know them well, they all are waiting like we are, especially Yami... They are all brave and strong so I believe we can make it through this. Having a day like this though should help ease troubles, getting away from the mansion was needed.

Orion: Well everyone deserves some time off and this is a perfect way for it, especially for Chazz and Hiki and Tori since this was around the same time they were contracted since me and Rowen had to help make that happen.

Shizen: Yes I had heard, I wish I could have witnessed that as well. It's an important day for them and I am glad they are sharing it with those close to them. They don't just have each other to support, they have others by their side now as well. In a way this little group became a family to each other helping people along the way. (She gains a big grin in pride).

Orion: Yes it was quite a site since neither I nor Rowen would know on how it would play out but Chazz had this determined look on his face because he wanted to protect the people he cared about.

Shizen: He does and true he's still young and needs to learn a lot in ways but I already think he may be the best human balance user throughout time if he continues growing with Hiki and Tori at his rate. As for the determination, I see that in every single one of those young ones. I'm quite proud of them all.

Orion: Well when we found that out we didn't know what to expect since knowing Kairi we couldn't tell.

Shizen: Well she was very small last time you were here and true she found the power a little early but she has handled it well and is just as determined as the others to protect and learn more.

Orion: True they all are and that's what matters right now more than ever.

Shizen: It really is, it is needed to keep balance. There needs to be hope and they need to be strong to not fear the coming storm or to face anything they think needs to be set straight... When going to nature territory before you and Rowen I saw so much of that from them and their willingness to help Zahir. You remember the poison spirits leader, well they helped him home to his wife... Well when you knew him he wasn't married but still they didn't hesitate at all on helping him and I think they will do that for even more people.

Orion: (He smiles as they reach the inn where the group is staying at). Well... That's just who they are... They keep looking forward... They don't stop doing what they can and I don't think they ever will

Shizen: And as they look forward others follow to do the same. (She smiles stopping at the inn seeing everyone in their group about to leave out of the door, making sure that they have everything. Kairi sees them first having a big smile as she waves at them and they wave back). Ahh speaking of them it looks like it's time for the festival as well.

Orion: (He comes up from behind everyone). Well how is everyone doing?

Rowen: Welcome back Orion.

Jennifer: (Smiles walking up to them with everyone else). Hi Shizen, hi Orion, we are glad you were able to make it to the festival.

Kairi: (Goes up to Shizen and Orion with a big smile). Hi it is going to be so much fun, ooh let's go shopping first!

Jennifer: (Laughs patting Kairi's head). Why am I not surprised you would want to do that first.

Orion: Never a dull moment is it with you is it Kairi?

Tori: (He chuckles). Well it can be said about the entire group now couldn't it.

Kairi: Well as long as everyone's together how can there be a dull moment.

Jennifer: True and the fact that we are going to a festival, I don't see how that can be dull.

Hiki: Yes, it wouldn't be fun if everyone was at least a little bit strange right?

Chazz: That is true but we should probably get going now since we can have an early look at some of the stores up right now.

Rowen: Yes, since lady Kairi did want to go shopping, we can all go peek for a bit.

Jennifer: Sounds good, I know the festival has sections so I think the shops are closest then I think the games are right next to that.

Kairi: Great let's go then and I can get everyone something if they like.

Kura: There is no need to go overboard for us Kairi.

Jennifer: (Laughs a little). Oh but knowing her she will.

Rowen: Yes, yes we shall stop by but since we have such limited space in the carriages I would recommend to not going crazy when it comes to buying things though it would be nice to look around at least.

Kairi: Alright I will only buy a little bit then.

Jennifer: (Laughs shaking her head). No you will not Kairi but at least I will put a limit, no more after a certain point.

Cordelia: I believe getting more small things would help as well.

Kairi: Alright as long as I get at least one thing for everyone.

Tori: We shall see what they have then?

Chazz: Yes just standing around will not do much for us.

Orion: Then let's get going and stop talking about it already! (He starts to walk off into town alongside the rest of the group).

Kairi: Yay let's go! (She skips happily next to Tori).

Jennifer: (Looks around at the decorations for the festival looking for the shopping area and a festival map on the way).

Kura and Yami: (Follow behind Kairi, Yami being more laid back as he looks around the city as well).

Shizen: (Walks beside Rowen as he escorts her and Cordelia).

Kairi: (Looks around and remembers that Hamako isn't around going over to Cordelia away from Amber knowing that she does not know about spirits). Mom where is Hamako?

Cordelia: Do not worry, she is looking around but just hiding from view because of her appearance. (She points to a big sapphire stone on her necklace seeing it look like there is water inside looking like it almost is staring at Kairi).

Kairi: (Looks at the stone amazed). Whoa.

Hiki: (She waves at the pendent and smiles hearing Cordelia).

Amber: (She walks next to Chazz). I have not been in town in such a long time, it feels weird being here now.

Chazz: What do you mean Amber? Don't you come in when your family has business here?

Amber: Well umm... Recently I have not been with them much but I do always enjoy coming here. It is so lovely here.

Jennifer: (Overhears Amber wondering about her family, giving a concerned look). Amber is something going on with your family, it seems like something is wrong.

Cordelia: (Looks over at Amber and sighs but smiles kindly). You are going out on your own aren't you Mis Amber. I have already gotten a new list of nobles in rank and inheritance. It looks like you are not able to inherit for your family because of the betrothal issues I have heard. Do not worry, I am sure I can find a place for you to stay since you are a friend of my daughters.

Jennifer: (Looks at Amber being even more concerned and worried). ... Amber... You chose to leave?

Amber: (She stops at a bench where she sits down). Yes... They wanted to me marry some man that was my age but I couldn't find the charm in him at all. We just did not connect at all... I tried denying it multiple times but it was getting... Unbearable... And with all their other ideas and standards of me... They were getting higher and higher... So instead of trying to keep up with them and be a sort of model daughter that they wanted... I chose to become someone different that will be on my own... So I can be the person that I am meant to be....

Chazz: (He and Hiki sit next to Amber as Hiki gives her a hug). Well it is understandable and I can see your resolve in this so I will say this. You have always been a person that is very open of how you feel and that you are never willing to give up so easily... It keeps burning like a fire in your heart to have determination and the will to grow even further. That is who you just are so I know that you will be just fine.

Jennifer: (Looks at Amber still concerned but then smiles at how strong she is). I wish I was that strong... I mean when I was being sent away I almost gave up if it were not for Chazz and everyone here... I wish to be strong like you... And I am sure you can handle this. You seems so independent so I am sure you can make it in wherever you choose to go and we will be there to help since that is what friends are for. I would think we would not tell you what to do, just support you in whatever path you choose. (She hugs Amber with a smile).

Amber: (Tears up a little bit). Thank you... Thank you so much.

Rowen: After the party is over you are more than welcomed to stay with us for a bit longer. I am sure Miss Cordelia would not mind at all am I right?

Cordelia: Of course, we have plenty of room and I think I may know someone in town that could help. I imagine if you have left your family you will need to find something that help support yourself. I know a merchant who is in the town near the mansion if that interests you and I can take you into town the morning after the party. Merchants are not as upper class as nobles but they still make enough to live comfortably. I think that is something that you would do well at.

Kairi: Oh wow, that sounds fun. I think Maru's family are merchants as well so does that mean you get to travel a lot?

Cordelia: Some merchants do but it is not your friend Maru's family I believe though I know merchants work and trade together often.

Amber: Yes, I can do that since this trip for the party is the last thing I could do as noble so I want to enjoy it as a type of final trip before I begin the new life but then again I will always be around.

Jennifer: Exactly so feel free to visit any time and I am sure everything will work out but we are happy to help.

Cordelia: Yes it is a lot of adjustment and hard work though. You will have to earn your way but you seem like it would be something you could handle well.

Kairi: I bet it will be like a adventure for you and if it makes you feel better I can get you some dresses here. That always makes me feel better.

Jennifer: (Laughs patting Kairi's head). I am sure you were planning on doing that anyways Kairi.

Chazz: And if anything does happen I am sure we would all be there in a second.

Amber: (She looks up at Chazz as she smiles and hugs him suddenly taking him by surprise). Thank you... Thank you so much Chazz....

Jennifer: (Smiles at Amber being glad that she is feeling better). Now let's go to the festival and have fun. We are almost there and I think we could use a day like this. (She holds out her hand for Amber to take and be help up).

Amber: Yes... That would be nice now wouldn't it, cannot be a worrywart now can I?

Hiki: (She grabs Amber's other hand as she smiles and pulls her up to enjoy the festival as well).

Jennifer: (Smiles as they begin to walk again).

Kairi skips next to Tori seeing the decorations of where the festival starts being very colorful with rainbow colored ribbons and green and purple being the main colors.

Kairi: (Points excitedly seeing all of the people). Ooh look, it is so busy already!

Jennifer: (Laughs). Imagine when it is around time for the fireworks.

Hiki: It always gets like this and it looks even prettier at night with all the lanterns that the town puts up. It is like you can't even tell it is night.

Jennifer: We usually could not stay for the fireworks before since Kairi was smaller last time we came here but we always enjoyed it. There are so many interesting things and some even imported from other faraway lands.

Kairi: It's amazing seeing how much is out there. It is like seeing a million places in one and it is so pretty!

Shizen: (Looks around being interested not being in a human city like this in a long time and noticing many changes).

Rowen: I remember being with you a few times but that also Chazz had come along one time isn't that right?

Chazz: (He scratches his head). Yes... It is what gave me the idea to come here with Hiki and Tori since I knew it would be a lot of fun though it was weird at first because Hiki was so excited and Tori was just relaxed as he is now.

Hiki and Tori: Well excuse us.

Jennifer: (Laughs). Well I do not see anything wrong with that.

Kairi: I would not blame Hiki for being excited. This place is amazing, especially since everyone is together and being relaxed is alright too Tori especially since you nap so much but naps are nice.

Tori: Well that is why I take naps because I'm so relaxed.

Hiki: And I hadn't been in this town before so I was excited to see all the new things

Amber: (She laughs as she is by Chazz since he laughing as well).

Jennifer: (Laughs along with them as they go through the festival street. She is then is bumped by a small kid running past not thinking much about it).

Yami: (Sees the kid about the same size as himself quickly before the kid passes him grabs his arm).

Kura: (Looks at Yami about to scold him for being rude). Yami what-.

Yami: (Looks at the kid still narrowing his eyes as everyone looks at him with confusion). Not bad skills there but should steal from someone who doesn't know the game. Now give it back.

Unknown kid: (Looks away wearing worn clothes and a brown hat like a news cap and says nothing acting like he doesn't know what Yami is talking about as tries to get out of his grip as he has one fist clenched).

Tori: (He walks up to Yami and the kid). What did he take Yami?

Yami: Just this, I guess it's kind of important. (He holds up a small brown pouch like wallet).

Unknown kid: (Looks surprised opening his hand seeing that it's empty not knowing how or when it happened while gritting his teeth).

Jennifer: (Looks in her bag seeing her money is gone becoming shocked). Wait that is my wallet.

Tori: Hmm well let me take that then. (He takes the wallet from Yami and gives it to Jennifer).

Jennifer: (Takes the wallet putting it back in her purse this time covering it with her hand).

Kura: (Looks at the kid). Have you taken anything else?

Yami: Nah he didn't just the wallet but got good skills with that.

Unknown kid: (Says nothing while looking down and away with his hands in his pockets).

Tori: But it seems he has been doing this for a while without being caught or that he had been caught a couple of times and the town knows him. (He is looking around them and sees they are attracting attention). We need to settle this rather quickly

Yami: Can just let him go. (He shrugs not really thinking it's too big of a deal).

Kura: I'm not sure really. (She looks at some people watching giving a polite smile trying to give a expression that things are handled).

Unknown Kid: (Keeps trying to get out of Yami's grip and almost kicking Tori).

Tori: (Sighs and offers the kid a few coins). Here kid take these and get going. You probably need it for something if you are putting yourself at risk like this.

Unknown Kid: (Looks up at Tori at first thinking that there is a catch and hesitantly take the money quickly running away into a ally now that he has been let go).

Yami: (Says nothing but just shrugs turning to follow everyone again but looking back to where the kid had left).

Hiki: (She is close behind with Amber). Wow this place has so many things.

Kairi: Ooh let's go to that booth, it looks pretty. (She points to a part of the vendors area with all different kinds of clothes seeing the one with animals themed things like headbands with ears on it as she runs to it excitedly).

Jennifer: (Follows Kairi as she laughs a little). Well let's go shop then, we should be able to find some interesting things.

Amber: Yes let's go then!

Tori: Oh boy here we go again, we may need an extra carriage.

Cordelia: We can always send it back through a mail carriage though it takes a couple of days to arrive at times.

Kairi: (Zooms around the store excitedly at all of the animal themed items and a lot of it made of leather as well as headbands and clip on ears as everyone starts to look around. She goes around the corner seeing something she likes and tries it on going over to Tori with a cute smile and wearing adorable white and pink bunny ears). Tori what do you think?

Tori: (As he is looking at Kairi it is clear he is blushing heavily). It... Looks very... Good on you Kairi

Kairi: (Smiles brightly). thank you! (She picks up white cat ears nearby then tries to reach Tori's head having to jump up a little and stand on her toes as she continues to smile and giggle seeing the cat ears on Tori). There, now we match.

Tori: (He looks down as he shakes his head yes visably blushing even more).

Hiki: (She goes up to Tori). Always a softie for Kairi now aren't you Tori.

Kairi: (Giggles as she fixes Tori's cat ears and sees black cat ears giving them to Hiki). There you can have some cat ears too but I wish they had black and white ones. (Looks around not seeing and headbands with one black and one white ear as a set).

Hiki: (She laughs a bit as she goes with Kairi to the store). Well thank you anyways Kairi, I bet I could be a cute cat girl just like you would!

Kairi: But I am a bunny so we can be a cute cat and bunny.

Jennifer: (Looks at the wolf ears pondering about them).

Shizen: (Laughs as she is next to Rowen and Orion). Child how about just doing this. (Makes real grey wolf ears appear on her head as well as Jennifer having brown ones).

Jennifer: (Slightly panics a little while trying to hide the ears). Shizen you cannot do that.

Shizen: (Laughs). Relax child, no one saw.

Amber: (She looks at Jennifer and her ears). Wait where did you get those from, they seem so real?

Jennifer: (Thinks quickly of an excuse). Oh umm I got them from the shelf over there, I think the red or black ones would look good on you.

Amber: (She looks at the shelf questioningly). These ones? They do not look as realistic as yours though?

Jennifer: (Laughs a little nervously). Oh umm I covered my hair in it a little. I guess that makes it more realistic.

Shizen: It takes a mirror to get it done correctly but it should work well.

Amber: Are you sure? Is there one where I can do it too since it looks cute?

Jennifer: (Goes over to the shelf of headbands and ears picking out ones that looks like metal wires and clips on). Maybe these will work, hold on I can help you if you like. (She holds out the wire shaped as cat ears trying to figure out how to make them look more real).

Orion: (He whispers to Jennifer). You could just put real ears on her through your power then make them disappear after some time has passed.

Jennifer: (Eyes widen looking surprised as she whispers back). I can do that?

Shizen: Hmm I do not think you are at the skill level to achieve it but I can show you if we are able to make it unnoticeable. (She looks around at the people shopping as well as she thinks).

Rowen: (He stands by Shizen to keep her covered as Chazz talks to Amber to keep her distracted). You should be able to do it quickly.

Shizen: (Smiles at Rowen). Why thank you. (She looks at Amber as she begins to concentrate as her eyes and hands starts to glow keeping them at her sides to make it less noticeable. She focuses and soon black cat ears form on top of Amber's head).

Jennifer: (Looks even more amazed). Wow you can really do that?

Shizen: Yes though it is a difficult ability to achieve as long as you keep your concentration they should stay.

Amber: (She feels the ears on top of her head and becomes squeally feeling them). Oh my gosh, they feel so real! I love it!

Chazz: (He chuckles a little bit seeing Amber like this as his spirits are busy shopping with Kairi). It looks very good on you Amber.

Shizen: (Laughs as well). I'm glad that works then.

Jennifer: (Notices a black cat tail as well leaning towards Shizen to whisper). Did you mean to create a tail as well.

Shizen: (Looks at the tail waving around her). Hmm perhaps I put a little bit too much power into it. At least this did not fully change her.

Jennifer: You can really do that?

Shizen: Yes though it takes a small barrier even if invisible which is why I wanted you to learn them before this.

Jennifer: (Sighs). If only it were easier.

Shizen: We will work on it some more some other time Child.

Jennifer: (Nods sighing again and then goes towards Amber with a smile). They look good on you Amber, they look just as real as my ears.

Amber: (As she is still dancing around very bubbly because of the cat ears).

Chazz: Well do you want to look at anything else Amber?

Amber: No, no I am fine with this.

Kairi: Ooh let's go look over there, those dresses are pretty! (She is almost pulling Hiki to the next booth with different kinds of kimonos in it with Tori close behind).

Jennifer: (Follows as well with a laugh). I think those are called kimonos.

Cordelia: Yes I believe that is the fashion in one of the lands quite far away. I am surprised they have been sent this far.

Chazz: I am surprised as well really but they do seem very pretty from the unique designs.

Rowen: I think they also use them for festivals if I recall.

Shizen: Hmm they look nice so why not try one on.

Kairi: (Is already at the vendor with Hiki as Tori catches up looking at all the dresses seeing a long white kimono with light blue on the borders as well as with lily pad flowers and Kio fish embroidered into it). Ooh Hiki what do you think of this one!

Hiki: hmm. (As she takes a close look at it). Well I like it! It looks pretty!

Vendor: (Walks up to the interested customers with a polite smile for the possible sale). Well Mis if you find this pretty why not try it on over in the dressing rooms behind us?

Hiki: (Is taken by surprise at first). C-can I really do that?

Tori: I don't see why not, you might even impress master even more. (He makes a smirk nudging Hiki).

Hiki: (She begins to blush at the thought). W-well alright I... Will do that then.

Kairi: I think he will like it and I think you look good in these colors so you should try it on at least. Ooh I wonder if they have they have pink ones.

Vendor: We do but the smaller sizes are this way. (Points to an area as Kairi follows excitedly).

Jennifer: (Looks at the kimonos once she enters and starts looking through the green ones which catch her interest as well as Shizen's).

Cordelia: (Starts to look around as well with a smile holding out the stone in her necklace a little oddly probably to give Hamako a better look).

Amber: (She comes in shortly after and begins to look at some red dresses with lilies on them).

Kura: (Looks around as well but isn't sure if she should get anything as Yami looks bored beside the other guys in the group waiting for the ladies to get their shopping her done).

Kairi: (Quickly finds a pink kimono she likes and rushes to one of the curtains to change).

Jennifer: (Looks at a green and a grey bordered kimono with a wolf design in shades of black grey and white embroidered on the bottom). Hmm I think I might get this one.

Shizen: Then try it on Child. It's the only way to find out.

Jennifer: (Nods and goes to the curtain beside Hiki's).

Hiki: (She gets out of the dressing room with the kimono on with her hair style tied up in a different style where some of her hair seems to be in ribbon style).

Kura: (Looks over and smiles). It looks good on you, the blue brings out your eyes more as well.

Hiki: Does it really? It was weird trying to get my hair like this manually.

Kura: If you like I could help you with that, I have had practice with Kairi's hair.

Hiki: (She smiles and shakes her head no). Yes but right now just let put my hair back to normal for now. (She undoes the style and puts her hair into her normal long style).

Shizen: (Looks at the kimonos still picking up a green very different dress from the others that catches her eyes that is folded glancing over at Rowen grinning with more of a smirking expression slightly as she heads towards the curtain Hiki was just in). Let's hope this fits, Rowen I will want your opinion.

Hiki: (As she is heading back to the group in the front she starts to blush heavily not knowing on what Chazz will think and everyone else. As she walks over to everyone Tori is the first one to notice her).

Tori: Hey there Hiki... Wow you do look good in that but I'm guessing you don't want to hear that from me?

Hiki: No it isn't like that! I appreciate it Tori because it puts me at ease with this whole thing. I can feel my face is as red as a tomato right now just thinking about it. I do appreciate it so now I'm going to go find master and see what he says.

Jennifer: (Comes out of the changing room as well going next to Hiki the kimono being a olive green with a grey border and the wolf embroidered on the bottom and her hair in a simple loose bun looking down with a slight blush). Hmm the wolf design is nice but I am not sure.

Hiki: (She looks at Jennifer). Wow its look really good on you! I see your trying to impress master too now aren't you hmm?

Jennifer: (Blushes more becoming embarrassed). It is not like that... I-I mean everyone's opinion matters right...? But I guess it would be nice to know what he thinks as well. (She looks down trying to hide her blush).

Hiki: (has her own blush at such a idea). Well I'm happy I'm not the only one worrying about it.

Jennifer: I think so.... (Looks around not seeing Chazz in the store). But where is he, did he go to another vendor?

Rowen: (He walks up to the two girls). If you are looking for Chazz he is gone for the moment. He went to another vendor down the street since they had helped take care of him before we came to him.

Jennifer: Oh I see, it must be good to meet them after so long then. We can meet him there then, I would like to meet the people who helped him.

Kairi: (Comes out of the dressing room as well in a light pink kimono with a branch of cherry blossoms embroidered at the bottom with her hair pulled into a fancy bun with a large flower and feather hair piece in the back. She walks over to Tori who's further looking into the booth wanting to know what he thinks while looking up at him cutely). What do you think, do you like it?

Tori: (He is surprised by how cute Kairi looks now taking him off guard for a moment). You look really good... Kairi....

Hiki: (She giggles seeing Tori like this). Yes it was a bakery store with this older couple. I think they couldn't have a child so they welcomed Chazz with open arms, they were nice people.

Kairi: Thank you! (She has a big smile and then looks over to Hiki since she heard something about a bakery). Ooh are we going to a bakery?

Jennifer: Yes I think we are since Chazz is over there. There a couple that took him in when he was small so it would be nice to meet them.

Cordelia: I met with them a few times but mostly wrote to them about Chazz and how he is doing, Rowen has met with them more though.

Kairi: Ooh let's go then!

Jennifer: Amber is still changing so let's wait for her.

Kairi: Alright. (She looks at Kura noticing she had not picked anything out). Are you going to get a kimono too?

Kura: (Smiles shaking her head no). No I'm fine, I can get something at the next booth perhaps.

Amber: (As they are speaking she comes out of the dressing room in a red and black outline kimono with lily pedal designs across her sash). Where are we going?

Hiki: To a bakery to check on C-Chazz. (She is not used to call him by his name since she hasn't done it as often).

Amber: Oh alright, well then let's go.

Rowen: alright I shall lead the way then, lets go everyone.

Shizen: (Comes out of the curtains overhearing everyone wearing a forest green dress with a brown sash. The dress is low cut and sleeveless with fabric covering most of her shoulders with a vine and leaves pattern around the bottom and neckline with her long grey hair down and flowing down her back). Now is everyone leaving without me?

Jennifer: Oh sorry Shizen, I did not know you were changing. Wow that looks great on you though.

Kairi: Wow Shizen you look great!

Shizen: Why thank you. (She goes over to Rowen with a smile with Cordelia and Orion right next to him leaning over to try and look at Rowen's reaction). And I would like your opinion as well Rowen if you wouldn't mind.

Rowen: (He is taken off guard just as Tori was). W-well umm... Umm... It looks quite beautiful on you Mis Shizen... If you would excuse me.... (He walks away while hiding his face to look more composed then he is).

Orion: Ohh I haven't seen him get all flustered like that in a long time.

Cordelia: (Looks at Rowen quickly walking away with a smile). I do not believe I ever have seen him like that before.

Jennifer: (Seems surprised and looks at Hiki to make sure she was not mistaken). Did Rowen... Blush?

Shizen: (Crosses her arms looking at Rowen leave). Hmm shall I go after him? He is our escort after all or we can catch up with you afterwards if you would like.

Orion: It would a good idea since when he is like that he tends to become lost in thought easier.

Shizen: Hmm I will see you later at the bakery then. (She smiles and goes the way Rowen had quickly gone).

Kairi: (Looks the way Shizen and Rowen had went and giggles).

Jennifer: (Looks that way as well and then at Hiki with a smile). I guess we will see them later.

Hiki: (She giggles as well). Well we shall but let's get going to master now, Tori and I know the way.

Meanwhile as Shizen walks through the crowd while she looks for Rowen not seeing him.

Shizen: Hmm somewhere quiet perhaps. (She looks around and then stands to the side closing her eyes as wildlife scatters looking for Rowen. A squirrel finds him in a secluded meadow in the park near where she had met Orion and she heads towards it with a smile. Going through the park bushes and trees cover the area with branches moving out of the way with her power seeing Rowen sitting on a tree branch looking deep in thought in the peaceful area. She goes into the open looking up at him). Quite a nice, peaceful area you have found here.

Rowen: (He sighs). Why am I not surprised that you could find me so fast? (As he jumps down from the branch).

Shizen: (Laughs as she walks up to Rowen). Well it helps that you chose to go to a park like this, I have plenty of help here. (As a squirrel climb down from the branch and onto her shoulder as she pets its head).

Rowen: Ahh I see, I knew that squirrel was looking at me strange, now I know why.

Shizen: Well he did a good job finding you, although you were covering his home really. (She looks at the squirrel and smiles). You may go back now, thank you. (The squirrel nods jumping off of Shizen's shoulder and onto Rowen's shoulder jumping off it instantly to hop to the tree climbing out of view).

Rowen: Ahh my bad, my bad I did not mean to get in the way. I just kept walking around is all.

Shizen: It is fine, I just never found you as the type to become flustered so easily. I'll take that as a approval on the dress perhaps? (She laughs a little then smiles at Rowen while moving closer). Or was it something else?

Rowen: Well... Umm... I have not gotten like that for a while now... My past wife had that same effect on me quite often actually... It was fun in a way.

Shizen: (Looks down). I see... Must have been quite a lady to make you flustered... Just know that I am not trying to replace her in your heart... Though I know memories are quite nice to look back on. (She smiles softly at Rowen as she holds his hand).

Rowen: I know you are not and I am not saying that you are at all. It is just the old memories I get sometimes get back to me causing me to get like this... I want to hold more memories with you as well.

Shizen: Well I look forward to those memories as well, and as many as possible as long as you're willing to put up with me at times when I can be stubborn and difficult. But even then I'm right here even when like this to help. (She places a gentle hand on Rowen's cheek as she smiles kindly and caringly at him).

Rowen: (He holds her hand on his cheek). Well they are being made everyday with you but we should probably be heading back now.

Shizen: No if you need to we can stay here a little longer, I will be right here with you though. (A root moves up enough to make a seat for two as she sits down patting the area next to her for Rowen to sit as well as she smiles). Come on now, I'm sure they will do fine managing things themselves for a little longer.

Rowen: I can see that you are so responsible of them now aren't you Shizen? But I shall accept your offer then.

Shizen: Well I have been known to goof off every now and then, but time to relax is needed, know that I take charge when needed. Now come on, take a moment to relax from your duties.

Rowen: Well now I'm not sure if you're a good influence then. (As he smiles despite his words). But alright let us relax Shizen.

Shizen: Perhaps not but you seem like the kind of person who needs to learn how to relax and ease your stress so I think I may be able to help with that. (She smiles as well giving Rowen a kiss on the cheek).

Rowen: You would not be the first one to tell me something like that. Cordelia and Orion tell me that all the time but I just tend to want to get things done.

Shizen: I am aware but you do get things done, you just find more to do but today that's not needed. Today is a day to enjoy too. Even if you have duties to Cordelia and her family I'm sure they wouldn't mind you enjoying your time today. (She rests her head on Rowen's shoulder).

Rowen: (As Shizen is not looking he grabs her from behind as they were walking to the bench made of nature and kisses her cheek and laughs). I told you I can be forward sometimes as well. I think I will take that time today to show you I can.

As Shizen and Rowen sit in the park the rest of the group heads to the bakery to meet with Chazz as Hiki and Tori lead the way.

Kura and Yami: (Looks around at the festival as they follow).

Cordelia: (Walks with everyone as well as she looks around to try and remember the way as well as Orion takes Rowen's place in escorting her).

Kairi: (Walks beside Tori skipping happily).

Jennifer: (Follows walking a little behind Hiki and Tori). Do you know what these people are like, they must be nice to take Chazz in but do you know anything more about them?

Hiki: (She and Tori both think for a second). Well... From what master could tells us is that one day after he was trying to get something to eat by getting all the money be could collect is that the two came up to him and offered a whole basket full of bread and stuff he needed! He told us he didn't know what to say to repay them so a couple days later he found them again and returned their basket. He wasn't too clear on the details but then later they said that he could stay with them for a little bit and that's all I can remember, anything new Tori?

Tori: No, nothing else I can remember.

Kairi: They sound kind, I cannot wait to meet them.

Cordelia: Yes when Chazz began working for us I had met them. Their bakery was having financial difficulties so I think that we both thought it was wise for Chazz to stay with us. From what I have heard their business is better now, especially during festival season.

Hiki: That's what I have been told as well, maybe that's why master was looking forward to seeing them again.

Jennifer: Alright I cannot wait to meet them as well.

Kairi: (Points to a vendors booth with baked goods right in front of a bakery). Ooh is that it and can we get some cake too, it looks yummy.

Hiki: (She looks around for Chazz and she sees him inside through the window). Yep that's the place, let's go.

Kairi skips to the bakery excitedly, running ahead of everyone looking at all of the cakes and bakery goods with different designs decorated on top of things like flowers and swirls on some of them. She sees Chazz talking with a elderly looking couple about in their 50's or early 60's and enters opening a glass door seeing a counter with freshly baked breads and desserts with pastel colors on the walls of the bakery with simple wooden shelves, tables and chair. Her eyes right for the brightly colored cupcakes of the top of the display case.

Kairi: Wow it is nice in here!

Chazz: (He is taken by surprise seeing Kairi enter the bakery). Oh hello Kairi, did everyone send you to find me or did they come along?

Kairi: Oh I guess I ran ahead of them oops but Hiki and Tori were showing us where you went.

??????: (A older looking woman next to a man about the same age as her are sitting with Chazz. The woman looks at Kairi with her grey hair pinned up and brown eyes looking curious and a kind smile. Her sleeves are rolled up like she had just been working with a pink apron on over a simple long sleeve though rolled up grey dress). Oh Chazz, is this one of your little friends you were talking about?

??????: (An older man comes next to the women with grey and thinning hair but he seems to be around the same age as her. He has on a blue and grey long sleeve shirt with his sleeves rolled up at well. He smiles kindly at the girl and starts to cut another slice of cake). Oh I think it may be. Do you want a piece of cake since you seemed so excited about it?

Kairi: (Has a big bright smile). Ooh really, they look so good!

??????: (Laughs). Well of course and your quite a bright energetic little one. What kind of cake would you like?

Kairi: (Looks at all of the cakes seeing a slice of chocolate cake with a strawberry on top). Ooh that one looks yummy!

??????: (She laughs as she gets up to go to the counter). Of course, that's one of my favorites too oh and Chazz you need to introduce your friend here, oh I see more too. (As she notices a big group coming in).

Jennifer: (Comes in first along with Hiki and Tori). Oh it is nice in here.

Chazz: Oh hello everyone, I can see that Hiki and Tori showed the way but what about Rowen and Shizen?

Cordelia: (Laughs a little). Hello then and Rowen and Shizen both needed some time to themselves so they will meet us later on.

Kairi: (Giggles a little hearing her mom).

Chazz: Oh alright well let me introduce my first home I guess. (He shuffles a little nervously).

??????: What do you mean by I guess? You did live here for a while.

Jennifer: (Looks surprised as she looks around the place and at the older looking couple). This is your home?

Cordelia: Yes I remember though much better looking than when I remember. I am glad your business is going well now and I have to say Chazz has done well as a apprentice butler to Rowen and now butler to my daughters. He is a hard worker indeed but my and Rowen's letters to you should say that as well.

Jennifer: (Curtsies to the couple). It is nice to meet you I am Jennifer.

Kairi: (Stands beside Jennifer smiling brightly at the couple). And I am Kairi, oh wow are you Chazz's parents then?

??????: (The older looking gentlemen smiles and laughs). No need for the curtsies, but thank you anyways it is nice to meet you two. Thank you for taking care of Chazz for all these years. Oh before I forget my name is Alfred and this beautiful woman next to me is my wife Loretta and welcome to my bakery and in a sense we are his guardians.

Loretta: (Smiles looking at Alfred putting an arm around him and kissing his cheek). Words like that may make a woman blush. (She then looks at everyone and smiles). And yes I guess you could say we adopted Chazz when he was small. At first he didn't really talk much but I see you've opened up. We're proud of you with how much you've grown I just wish you would visit more often. (Messes Chazz's hair as she laughs) gotten so tall too growing up so fast.

Alfred: Well I think I am given the right to make you blush thank you very much. He really has now hasn't he now? (He notices Hiki and Tori). Oh you must be Hikari and Tori? Nice to meet you too!

Hiki: (He is taken by surprise). How do you know us?

Loretta: Chazz told us a lot about you two and how you are very close to him. Both your hair colors seem quite unusual though, have you dyed it for that festival or gone to one of the vendors for a wig?

Jennifer: (Laughs a little looking at Hiki and Tori but then is not sure how much Chazz had told them).

Hiki: (Looks directly at Chazz with a questioning pout). Oh he has?

Tori: What did you hear about us?

Alfred: Well that you did great things for Chazz and that you both are very close. That you are people he cares about a lot so you have our thanks.

Loretta: Yes he talked so much about you and how you have adventures and how he can depend on you when it matters most. It's something he needed and I'm happy a young couple like yourselves have helped him brighten up. (She smiles thankfullyat Hiki and Tori).

Jennifer: (Whispers quietly to herself covering her mouth from a laugh). Wait couple?

Hiki: Umm Tori and I aren't like that.

Tori: (He shakes his head yes in agreement with Hiki).

Alfred: Oh that's very unfortunate, then are you with Chazz here?

Loretta: Oh I guess it's just that you seem good together. (She looks from Hiki to Chazz as she thinks). Hmm perhaps since you have a bond with him as well.

Cordelia: Both Hiki and Tori are like brother and sister to each other and servants to the household like Chazz and work alongside him. I do supposed he has a few people interested in him that way if I were honest that I have observed. (She laughs a little then looks from Hiki and to Jennifer who both blush while looking down).

Hiki: (She blushes a little bit as the rest of begins to chuckle a bit at both of them).

Chazz: (Blushes a bit as well while trying to change subjects). So umm... How is the place going?

Yami: (Notices something outside while leaning on the door casually). You know you got some kids outside taking your stuff right?

Loretta: (Looks outside as everyone else does the same as she sighs seeing a boy take a whole loaf a bread from their stand). We have challenges when we are away for a few minutes.

Jennifer: Do you need us to help?

Loretta: Hmm perhaps but it looks like he is stealing the free samples. Those are the only things we leave outside of the store.

Alfred: (He sighs). It wouldn't be the first time this has happened but if he takes too much we have to stop him since Chazz did the same at first so it is alright for now. Just in case I shall get to making another loaf.

Loretta: (Smiles and kisses her husband on the cheek then rolls up her sleeves more). Yes I guess that is how we decided to take Chazz in and thank you but I can handle it. (She then notices Yami). And thank you young man for pointing that out, would you like some cake too?

Yami: (Shrugs). Sure no big deal and I guess so.

Jennifer: (Looks at Alfred and Loretta). What you said before, so is that how you took Chazz in at first?

Alfred: No, no I can do it Loretta, you're better entertainment than I am so I will be back and in a way we did since he kept coming back for the cinnamon bread samples or was always near the store when we aired out a new loaf.

Loretta: (Laughs). Yes that brings back memories, that reminds me. There's a fresh batch of cinnamon bread with cream filling I made this morning. I remember how much you loved those when coming by. (She goes behind the counter looking for the cinnamon bread and a plate).

Kairi: (Smells the cinnamon from where she is sitting while eating her cake). Wow it smells so good!

Alfred: (He yells from the kitchen). Well I would hope so!

Chazz: (He and Hiki and Tori begin to laugh knowing how good the bread is already).

Loretta: (Smiles bringing out a ring cinnamon of bread with frosting lightly on the top as a glaze and as she cuts slices for everyone. There is frosting seen on the inside as well as she gives a small slice to everyone one by one).

Cordelia: (Nods and takes a plate). Why thank you, you are very kind and I hope to buy a few things from you to take home.

Jennifer: (Takes the plate seeing how good the fresh roll looks). Wow this looks amazing, thank you.

Kairi: (Staring at the plate with wide eyes and a excited smile). It looks so good!

Yami: (Takes a plate looking at it with surprise and hunger). Oh cool.

Kura: (Nudges Yami).

Yami: (Looks up at Kura with confusion). What?

Kura: Say thank you.

Yami: But I haven't eaten yet.

Kura: (Sighs and shakes her head). You will never have manners.

Tori: (As he sighs and hits Yami on the side). Got to say thanks for the food anyways, so just do it silly.

Yami: (Gets a grumpy look from being shoved). Hey not cool! (He then looks at Loretta and mumbles a little but it still is heard). ... Thanks.

Loretta: (Smiles and laughs). You are very welcome, now dig in.

Jennifer: Thank you. (She takes a bite with her eyes widening). Wow this tastes as good as it looks.

Kairi: (Already started eating seeming like she is in her own little world as she takes a bite seeming to enjoy it just as much as the cake).

Chazz: (He begins to eat and immediately filled with his own nostalgic feelings).

Hiki: (She starts to eat in bites wanting to savor the flavor as much as she can). Still taste as great as I remember it!

Tori: (He laughs and begins to eat his fill with joy).

Kura: (Takes her first bite and pauses once the taste hits her tongue). Wow....

Yami: (Looks at everyone eating and enjoying). Is it really that good?

Loretta: Why not try it yourself to find out?

Yami: (Looks down at the bread grabbing it and shrugs before taking a bite. As he takes a bite he instantly pauses looking at the bread with a expression of a child discovering something amazing to them).

Kura: (Pauses looking at Yami seeing an expression she hadn't seen on him in a very long time and can't help but smile).

Alfred: (He comes back with the new loaf as he smiles seeing everyone's expression. It is clear in his expression he and his wife had worked all their lives just to see people have this reaction from just a simple pastry and cake). This is why I wanted to open this bakery up.

Loretta: (Goes over to Alfred putting a arm around him). I know and it never gets old seeing those reactions.

Kura: (Still is smiling at Yami from the baked goods). I guess that means you're enjoying it just as much.

Yami: (Snaps out of the daze and look of amazement and crosses his arms with a embarrassed expression while looking away). ... I guess it's ok....

Kura: (Laughs and pats Yami's head). Whatever you say little Yami.

Yami: (Mumbles still being embarrassed). Not little.

Loretta: (Can't help but laugh). He's a stubborn young man but I am glad everyone likes it.

Jennifer: No I thank you for the amazing food, it's so good.

Alfred: No, no thank you for taking care of Chazz for all of these years.

Cordelia: He has done a good job working for us as well as being Rowen's apprentice and butler to my daughters. You should be proud of him and his dedication.

Loretta: We are and Chazz does seem happier, a much bigger smile now. (She smiles at Chazz). We really are proud of you, We can tell you have grown so much.

Chazz: (He blushes but says with his own smile). Well... I had to... since I did not want to be more of a bother to you too... For taking me in... I had to think of a way to repay you... But I could not figure that out... So I thought... If I just do what I can and try my hardest I know it will make you two happy.

Alfred: (He gains a smile and a small tear in his eye). Well if it took you awhile to figure that out... Then I might still have to worry about you. (He laughs as well with Hiki and Tori).

Loretta: (Laughs as well). Well we would worry about you anyways but we are more proud of you for finding a place where you seem to belong.

Jennifer: I think he does too and he and everyone here have grown together I believe. (She looks at Chazz and smiles at him as well as Kairi doing the same with a big bright smile).

Hiki: (She goes over by Chazz and grabs his arm). And he has constantly tried to do that to make sure everyone is safe though sometimes he can be a bit hard headed. (Tori shakes his head yes as she giggles).

Loretta: (Laughs more). That I can believe but I don't see what is wrong with that.

Jennifer: (Nods and continues to smile at Chazz). He does that a lot for us... We have a lot to thank him for too.

Alfred: Well that's good then!

Chazz: Maybe... But sometimes I have begun to rely on others more... I cannot do everything on my own... But enough about me... I-I am not sure what else there is too talk about....

Alfred: (He sighs). And there is the normal qualities of you right there.

Loretta: (Laughs along with Cordelia). No need to be modest here.

Jennifer: (Laughs as well then notices a white cat with black spots come out from the door behind the counter and approach her as she smiles reaching her hand out to the cat as the cat approaches her and they look at each other).

Loretta: (Looks at the cat in surprise). Oh Bella you're supposed to be up stairs. How did you get down here?

Kairi: Daw the kitty's so cute.

Jennifer: It is alright. she just was curious. (Lets the cat smell her hand).

Loretta: (Starts to go closer to carry the cat back up). Be careful, she is picky with people, she only will let me.... (She then sees that her cat is snuggling up in Jennifer's lap now). ... Nevermind.

Jennifer: (Smiles and pets the cat). It is fine, animals just seem to like me is all.

Amber: (She kneels down and tries to pet the cat as well but the cat hisses at her). Wow I guess she does not like me... I am kind of sad now.

Alfred: (He laughs). Now you know how I have felt for a while now.

Jennifer: It is alright she's just frustrated by having so many people so just be patient. (She looks at the cat and cat looks back at her as if they are having a conversation in their minds the cat looks at Amber and the others though cautiously still).

Loretta: (Looks a little confused as everyone is talking the front doorbell rings to the door opening with Shizen and Rowen coming in being arm in arm and standing by Orion).

Loretta: Ahh Rowen we were wondering if we would see you. We heard so much of how Chazz has been doing, thank you for taking him under your wing for all these years.

Rowen: Oh hello their Alfred, Loretta, it is nice to see you both again and I am glad to hear it since he has done a lot but I can only do so much. Everything else he has done on his own without my guidance.

Loretta: I see, well even more reason to be proud of him then. (She smiles at Chazz and then looks back at Rowen noticing he has his arm holding Shizen's like he is escorting and smiles more assuming that they are together).

Shizen: (The cat Bella has climbed on to her shoulder as she nods to it and scratches behinds it's ears).

Loretta: (Sighs and then laughs). I guess my cat is sociable today, I am sorry Mis umm... I don't think we have met before.

Shizen: (Smiles politely at Loretta). My name is Shizen, I am Jennifer's mentor and yes I have a way with animals I suppose.

Loretta: Huh a way with animals? (She looks a bit amused looking from Jennifer to Shizen).

Jennifer: (Gets a little nervous with Loretta looking at both of them not wanting to be to obvious that she and Shizen can understand and talk to animals).

Alfred: (He just begins to get confused and tries to change the topic due to this). Well in any case I welcome you all to my bakery with my lovely wife. Would you all like to come upstairs so we don't crowd up the store?

Cordelia: Oh we could if you are fine with that but don't you need to keep a eye on the store. We don't want to get in the way of business. We know it can get busy in afternoon with the festival.

Alfred: (He waves his hand). I'm sure the store can last by itself for a little bit plus it doesn't pick up till around nighttime. That is when the festival becomes much livelier.

Amber: (She gets some more bread clearly enjoying her fill). Are you sure sir?

Alfred: Well of course, come on, come on.

Kairi: Ooh and then maybe you can walk around with us around the festival.

Loretta: I don't think so since at least one of us needs to stay near the store for customers or else we will not hear the bell. (She points at the bell that rings every time someone walks through the front door).

Alfred: Hmm one of us could but Loretta how should we figure this out hmm?

Loretta: No, I am fine staying here. I heard there are some fun festival games so you can win me something dear although I don't think you did very well with the archer and knife throwing games).

Jennifer: (The mention of archery catches her attention making her perk up in interest more).

Yami: (Hears the part about knife throwing getting the same interest as he continues to eat). Cool knife throwing, let's do that.

Alfred: Hmm I don't feel right about that since there is some games you are certainly better at than me so I would feel better if you went instead since you kept talking about spending time with Chazz. It's all you could talk about yesterday.

Loretta: Oh don't be modest, you were talking about it too as well.

Kairi: If both of you come with then both of you can spend time with Chazz though.
