Chapter 27 Part 2

Shizen and Orion walk back to the awaiting group. All of them have intentions to follow right away. They are not sure if they could catch up to them that day but the events just now weigh heavily on their minds. As they regroup and try to think of a plan going forward far away now walks Agni with Yami, Talia and the knight with a handful of guards as well. They press forward quickly at first to cover their tracks changing their route to make being followed is more difficult when they recover.

Yami: (He looks down quietly as he walks beside the knight and Agni with a frown in thought).

Agni: (He looks towards Yami). What is it young one? Did leaving them behind hurt your heart?

Yami: (Still looks down but frowns more as something troubles his mind). ... How do you do that?

Agni: (He places his head in a questioning matter). Whatever do you mean Yami? How do I do what?

Yami: (His fists clench but he still looks down). How do you act like that when fighting... Why not just explain things to them instead of just looking like the bad mad scientist guy... How do you put up that act and keep it going when everyone looks at you with hate... You just made it look like your controlling me so you take all the blame and anger from them even... How do you deal with it... Why...?

Agni: (He smiles at the slight concern). Well... I do this because I don't want others to face the blame that I would face... I want to be the pillar... The pillar that everyone see's and hates... If it means to help others move forward in life... Then I would have all of the hate... I will accept it.

Yami: (Looks up at Agni not understanding). But how do you deal with that hate... And act like it doesn't bother you... When everyone looks at you like that....

Agni: (He smiles). Well I choose to bear it all because I stopped caring... It was hard... But in order to achieve my goals and fulfill my promise... I will bear it all.

Yami: (He frowns again saying quietly). You stopped caring about them for this...? There's nothing you care about like that anymore... It must make things a lot easier to carry I guess.

Agni: (He frowns as well). ...I t is not as if I stopped caring it's... More like I care so much I keep going forward.

Yami: (Puts his hands in his pockets casually as he walks beside Agni). Yeah true you probably have people who care still... But you didn't have to take the anger from them back there that was for me... I could of taken it too instead of them just them thinking I'm brainwashed by you or something....

Agni: I did have people who care about me deeply... And that's why I keep going... And plus... I didn't want you to share the blame... This is my burden to hold.

Yami: (Looks down again trying to understand). Seems like a lot for just one person to hold.

Agni: (He smiles as he looks away). Well I have been holding it on my shoulders for a long time and I will do it again and again if need be until I fulfill my promise.

Yami: (Pauses in his own thoughts for a moment before looking up at Agni with a small grin). You know you may be a asshole but you're not that bad if you go through all that for a promise.

Talia: (Has a hard and cold glare to Yami as she walks behind Agni not liking such a word as asshole used against him in any way).

Yami: (Pauses and stiffens feeling the glare at his back briefly).

Agni: (Can feel the cold stare at Yami). Now Talia calm down, no need to be like that to the young one.

Yami: (Grumbles quietly to himself while crossing his arms). I'm not little if that's what you're saying with that....

Talia: (Still keeps a eye on Yami being protective but backs off). As you wish lord Agni.

Agni: (He sighs). Well regardless let's get a move on now... We are almost there now.

Yami: (He looks ahead and sees a river running through what otherwise is a dry land. There is a drop in his expression as he sees a boat prepared to go across). ... Don't tell me we have to take that across?

Agni: (He chuckles). Yes we do, I understand that you have trouble with things like this... But it will be fine.

Yami: (Mumbles grumpily). No I don't.... (He then gives a questioning look). Wait! How do you know about that?

Agni: (He chuckles a bit more). I have my sources of information, don't worry about it now.

Yami: (Still grumbles his complaints). Thought you fire guys didn't even like water though. Why even take a boat?

Agni: Well the place we are heading too only had the most space available for my research to truly keep going.

Talia: (Crosses her arms with a small pout). None of us like the this option but it is fastest so let's get this over with now.

Yami: (Still gives a grumpy expression but nods reluctantly). Fine but better get across this fast.

Agni: (He nods his head for the knight). Yes, lets gets this over with.

????: (Nods back and swiftly picks up Yami putting him under his arm to help him up onto the boat having a good grip on him so he does not fall into the river).

Yami: (Hi voice and tone instantly raise as he struggles in the hold). Hey what the hell let go! I can do it myself!

Agni: Now don't struggle it will only make things worse now... Be patient... Makes things easier.

Yami: (Doesn't listen as he continues to struggle in the grip). No let go, I don't need help!

????: (Does not listen he makes his way up to the boat. Once he does make his way up he puts Yami down carefully).

Yami: (Just sits against the boat railing crossing his arms with a grumpy pout). Never do that again.

????: (As a silent response he pats Yami's head but that does not make him any happier).

Agni: (He laughs a bit as they approach the boat). Well times up, let's get rowing.

????: (Shakes his head going to help the guards set sail and push the boat on his own off of the shore).

Yami: (Pauses watching the knight push the large boat on his own with just one arm). ... Woah.

Agni: Impressed now? Well he trained very hard to be able to do that... He has come a long way.

Yami: Yeah... But why have on that armor all the time. Doesn't talk either... Kind of weird.

Agni: (He raises his eyebrows in amusement of the statement). Well that may be true but everyone has their reasons.

Yami: I guess but still weird. Probably be really fun to fight and train to be able to do that too... Not that I can't now. (Crosses his arms stubbornly but gets a small grin at the idea).

Agni: (He laughs a bit). Now don't start thinking like that now. He only made the best out of the situation so all things work out one way or another.

Yami: (Still crosses his arms stubbornly but as the knight climbs back on board it then changes to a look of confusion noticing he always has his other side and arm covered by a red cloak he seems to hide with).

Agni: (He is busy dealing with boat). Alright, well final role call for the boot.

????: (Goes to sit beside Yami noticing his stare up at him he pats his head again. As they start to slowly leave the river shore some guards start taking out some sort of rice and curry rations from packs being offered to Agni first).

Agni: (He smirks a bit). But before I give this to you... Be warned that it is quite spicy so I do not know how well you will handle it.

Yami: (Takes the bowl quickly as he shrugs off Agni's warning). Ehh how spicy could it be?

Agni: (He sighs). Remembered I warned you. (As he orders a guard to give him a large amount of water). We are going to need it.

Yami: (He doesn't just take a bite he starts digging in quickly nearly finishing the bowl completely making some of the guards take a step back. After a few seconds he instantly stops eating and perks up and pauses as his eyes go wide).

Agni: (He gets a glass of water from a guard and hands it to Yami). Well I warned you didn't I young one?

Yami: (His body is frozen still with his eyes wide still. The thing that starts to change though is that his face starts to redden heavily as it looks like he is trying to hold something in).

Talia: (Leans away to prepare for the reaction noticing the bowl of curry is emptied before he had noticed the spices).

Agni: (He sighs as he backs away after giving Yami the water). Everyone stand back.

Yami: (Suddenly he makes a large sound similar to a burp but with the sound a large amount of dark flames and smoke coming out of his mouth in a large burst).

Agni: (He laughs). Well that was the reaction I wasn't expecting right away, hmm very interesting indeed.

Yami: (It takes a moment for the loud odd burp to end leaving all of the guards to rush to the other end of the boat in a panic to avoid it. Once it starts to calm down Yami has to catch his breath though dark smoke still comes from his mouth as he does so). ... Whoa....

Agni: (He laughs more). You feeling alright there young one? That was a lot of spice all at once now.

Yami: (Once he catches his breath enough though still with a bit of smoke seeming amazed at first. He then grins and jumps up a bit excitedly). ... Dude... That was awesome! Give me more of that stuff, I want to do that again! (Every last one of the guards are paused in shock with a expression of their jaws dropped).

Agni: (He keeps laughing as he pats Yami's back). Well then, I can't deny such an interesting fellow. Men bring the boy some more!

Talia: (The guards seem to be paused in shock so she sighs and brings more to set out and to grab for himself). Are you sure you did not have us kidnap a part fire spirit my Lord? It would seem like a waste of an operation if so.

Agni: (He gives a questioning looks as well towards Yami). Hmm it would be very interested if I had somehow but I am sure he is not. Though how you can handle the spice is intriguing.

Yami: (Shrugs as he starts digging into the bowl of curry again as some dark fire and smoke comes out of his mouth as he talks). I don't know, just never really felt that type of stuff.

Agni: (He looks very interested). Well still very interesting indeed. Not many can handle the spice of it so easily.

Yami: (Shrugs again as he quickly finishes a second bowl). Just can't really feel pain that much so I guess that makes it easy.

Talia: (Raises her eyebrow at Yami with a disbelieving frown). You mean to tell me you cannot feel pain?

Agni: (He has a thinking expression as he ponders the idea). Huh very interesting that you can't feel pain. It is not normal to see that type of thing.

Talia: (Still has a look of doubt as she grabs Yami's hand). It is not a good habit to try and act so tough. It gets annoying at times.

Yami: (He grumpily protests as she holds his hand oddly). What are you-... Hey what's that supposed to mean!

Talia: (She ignores his retorts and focuses on Yami's hand pressing on it in certain parts and pausing when she sees no reaction of flinching or wincing from it. Her eyebrows slowly raise with every pressure point she tries having no reaction).

Agni: (He signals for Talia to stop). Now Talia don't be rude to our guest. Leave him be.

Talia: (Backs away but has a look of pondering. She talks quietly more to herself but loud enough to hear). It must be some form of nerve damage then.

Yami: (He looks a little lost but just shrugs it off).

Agni: (He thinks to himself as well having Talia come close to him). Yes maybe.... Something has happened to create that null of pain... But either way we have something to do... Though I am very curious.

Yami: (Though he gives a confused expression before he can say anything about it the boat rocks from a wave being in a less shallow area making him lurch as a result).

Agni: (He is taken off guard as well for a second). Well I guess we are nearing our destination now aren't we?

Yami: (Starts to look a little out of it with the swaying of waves but nods). ... Finally.

Agni: (He chuckles a bit). See? I told you there was no need to worry now. We would get there fast enough.

Yami: Yeah but did it have to-. (He can't finish his statement as instantly his expression becomes ill from the swaying as he instantly stands and turns to hang over the rail like he is about to be sick).

Agni: (He laughs a bit). I warned you even so. I'm glad we are here now though because the wait was tiring.

Yami: (Cannot make his retort as he is losing the lunch he had just had).

Talia: (Leans and looks away waiting to leave already with a look in disgust to what Yami is going through).

Agni: (Signals for a knight or two to help with Yami). Let's make haste people.

????: (The main knight that has guarded Yami closely most of their travels pats his back to try and help in some way).

Yami: Hey what the-! ( Being taken off guard by the sudden pats on his back he get surprised but is to unbalanced from his current state to react properly. He wobbles and stubbles overboard over the railing and into the water).

???? (Swiftly reaches out to catch Yami and grabs his shirt collar but the shirt comes off not able to catch his fall and he splashes in. He pauses lifting up the shirt in his hand to show Agni what had happened as if it is a silent way of saying oops).

Agni: (He started laughing quite a bit as he sees this). Now let's get him ready to get going again. It is not the hour to swim right now.

Yami: (Splashes around franticly as he struggles to stay above the water though it doesn't seem to be working). ... Can't... Sw-....

???? (Hearing this he instantly dives in to rescue Yami leaving the guards to take care of docking the boat. He quickly tries to bring him to shore though it seems a bit of a struggle with Yami splashing and kicking all about to stay above the water still).

Agni: (He raises an eyebrow as he goes towards them to help bring the knight back to shore with Yami).

Talia: (Takes her time properly using the steps put crosses her arms with a eyebrow raised as well). No ability to swim either? We really must have kidnapped fire spirit.

Yami: (Coughs up some water as he is helped to the shore having to catch his breath before he can sit up or say anything).

Agni: I didn't expect that really... Hmm did I make some kind of mistake here? (He is seen pondering really hard to himself).

????: (Stays by Yami's side to make sure he is alright helping him sit up and patting his back to help get the water out).

Yami: (Once he coughs up most of the water he starts to take dark energy from around him which slowly seems to be a way of healing relief and physical energy). Boats... Are stupid....

Agni: (He watches the intake of dark energy). Huh... It also works like that as well... hmm very interesting indeed

Talia: (Is in no rush to walk over but once she does stand by Agni she looks over at the situation with her arms crossed. She then takes notice of the many scars on Yami especially on his chest). Now that explains the nerve damage.

Agni: (He notices it as well). Well it only makes sense... His father was labeled as the biggest traitor to exist and was blamed for many things... It only makes sense he has those scars.

Talia: (Nods her head understanding it now but turns to move forward just as quickly). Even with that in some way it must be a advantage to not feel that physical pain anymore.

Yami: (Shakes out his head his hair being soaked from the water. He also takes his shirt back that the knight offers to him wiping his face before putting it back on. Once doing so he sees that Agni's dragon is looking at him from a rock in front of him). Yeah what's up lizard? (With being called a lizard he stretches his wings out and puffs smoke with some flame to make Yami jump back in surprise). Hey watch it!

Agni: (He pets Dragon to calm down). Now Dragon calm down now. Let's take it easy. Mister Yami are you alright? (Dragon instantly turns back to crawl up to Agni's shoulder and perches proudly as he basks in the hot sun).

Yami: (Still shakes off to dry but frowns having not noticed he has been taking darkness as he tries to stop). Yeah just no more stupid boats got it.

Agni: (He smiles). Yes no more boats. You have my word, but mister Yami look around you really quickly alright?

Yami: what do you-... Oh. (Looks down for a second having not even noticing he was taking darkness from around him. He mumbles a sorry as he slowly tries to calm it down).

Agni: (He places an hand on his shoulder). No it is quite alright. It's only a matter of time before it is fixed... And you can be home again.

Yami: (Sighs looking down still having a feeling of uncertainty and slight fear in the back of his mind he tries to bury). You really can fix it... So I don't hurt anyone like that?

Agni: (He nods his head). Yes... If anything I can help reduce the damage it can do to other dark spirits.

Yami: (Nods his head looking up at Agni with some hope in his eyes before he stands to leave). Well I guess it's worth a shot huh?

Agni: (He smiles towards Yami). It really is worth a shot.

Yami: Sure just hope it works out. (Stretches his arms out as he starts to follow Agni to where ever he leads).

Agni: (He takes many moments to think to himself fully... Trying to comprehend what is going to happen... He does wonder how much time he has left before the group of spirits come and take him down... He knew the path he was leading down the moment Shizen was pushed away. But he has accepted his fate and will see it to the end. Because he a made a promise to a friend... But also to protect the family that had been hurt the most. He thinks more and more about this in his mind... As he makes his way into his lab to conduct the final preparations... To begin a new twist in history).

Talia: (Leans against the window frame of the lab as she looks out with eyes narrowed keeping a close eye on their surroundings. Something still troubles her).

Yami: (Just sits to the side playing with one of his knives with some boredom not understanding any of the labs vials or seals).

????: (Stands leaning against the wall with his head down. If passing closely someone could have sworn he had dozed off with small snore like sounds coming from under his helmet).

Agni: (He begins preparation and final tests with assistance and Begins to plan accordingly in his mind as well).

Yami: (Does not take much interest in Agni's experiments instead looking up at the knight trying to get at least a glimpse of his face out of curiosity).

????: (Before Yami can try to reach up to his helmet he pats Yami's head being much to tall to reach).

Yami: (Is taken by surprise he's awake but pouts to have been caught trying to act like he had tried nothing although the curiosity still tugs at him. He at least glances at the work on the table over Agni's shoulder even though he does not understand any of it looking like just drawings and scribbles to him).

Talia: (Taps her fingers nails on the window frame seeming more on edge and troubled as she looks out).

Agni: (As he begins to keep working around the lab he signals for Talia to come to his side for a second). Talia dear will you come here real quickly?

Talia: (She perks up hearing him call her and goes over to him right away). Yes Lord Agni?

Agni: (He looks around for a brief moment). Keep a close eye out on the outside for I am expecting very important guests... Do your best to stall them but don't put yourself in harm's way dear.

Talia: (She frowns but nods understanding keeping her voice low). I should of known better then to assume you would ignore it.

Agni: Oh dear, I wish I could... But after seeing them in action I know they are going to come running so best be ready.

Talia: (Narrows her eyes at something that has not left her mind). They couldn't of known our location at that fort so quickly. I know you do not want to but we need to consider heavily that there is someone watching... A spy... Maybe even a traitor. (Grits her teeth and clenches her fists at such a possibility).

Agni: (He smiles knowing on who the person is). I think I know who it is... But even so our plans processed accordingly.

Talia: (Still cannot shake the idea away). Whoever they are they seem smart for how much they have gotten from us and if they return they may try to meddle into your plans more... It would make things more challenging or at least give one more thing to keep a eye on we cannot afford at the moment.

Agni: (He taps her shoulder). Now, now Mis Talia, don't worry I trust that you can handle the problem. Don't worry, I'm sending a party to help entertain our guests.

Talia: (Looks to take the task seriously as she looks down). I understand... But what if a trap could be set for a spy so that their presence is no longer a earlier distraction... Whoever they are they are smart enough to sneak through our defenses easily but.... (He eyes widen as a idea pops into her head looking at Yami). Perhaps they do not know of his choices....

Agni: (He nods his head yes). Any spy will only go from an outside position. They probably figured out what's happening now after our... Little meeting we had. But I am sure, once they start coming the spy will come out of hiding... It's like a bug game of chess... It's just waiting for the opposition to mess up first.

Talia: Well let it seem like we had messed up. Make it seem like there is a opening and make sure they are out of your way for your main event. Just in case they try to become bold and act instead for a final attempt I may want to borrow your little test subject for the night. (Motions to Yami who still plays with his knives at Agni's desk still). A Spy or traitor is always the first to show and maybe even act and I don't know about you but I have not seen anyone with us since the fort besides your guards.

Agni: (He smiles at the plan. He motions towards the study room down the hall). Whenever a little spy wanted to come and get things out of me she would always come to the study. Also I would not expect someone else to be here. In my thinking, she's already here listening to us talk right now.

Talia: (Has a disbelieving look as she shakes her head in a small laugh of amusement). She stays in plain sight of you...? And you must give her a lot of credit to think so far ahead. But however clever you assume it cannot compare to you my lord.

Agni: (He smiles a bit). One can only hope Talia... One can only hope. But I try my best to think of what they will do next considering the current state of affairs

Talia: (still laughs with disbelief). Just don't think so highly of them to be on your level of intelligence. None can compare but if they like to be so bold as to visit you alone then maybe that could work as a better plan. You seem to have a good idea of them so just give us a signal. Until then you will be left alone to do your final preparations tonight.

Agni: (He goes back to his work). Wonderful, I'm glad to hear it. But yes, please do keep our guests busy while I work

Talia: (Frowns looking at Yami) . I believe that won't be for another few hours until it gets entertaining. (She looks around with a pout but sighs). Do I really going to have me babysit until things get interesting?

Yami: (Perks his head up with a annoyed look having heard the last part at least). Hey I'm not a baby so you don't got to watch me!

???? (From casually leaning against the wall still in rest he raises his hand as if to volunteer for that task).

Agni: (He waves his hands). Now, now play nice everyone. Miss Talia, I do request to pull back on your hostility towards young Yami. He is our guest and he will be treated as such. Do I make myself clear? (Looks towards Talia with fire in his eyes, showing his resolve).

Talia: (At first she looks at Yami with jealousy but then seeing the powerful dominant fire of resolve she instantly backs down. She looks down submissively bowing her head with her orange eyes dimming). Yes Lord Agni.

Agni: (He smiles as he pats her head for a second). Good, good Mis Talia. I'm happy to hear it

Talia: (Still keeps her head bowed as she nods and turns to leave after saying). We will leave you to your work like you have for many nights until you guest decides to visit.

Yami: (Caught the look of fire in Agni's eyes having to pause from playing with his knife seeing how intimidating it was). ... That was cool.

Agni: (He chuckles a bit hearing Yami). When you're as strong as me with fire things like this may happen.

Yami: Man you got to teach me that. (Pauses to think looking into his reflection in the knife blade). But I guess there naturally like that too. (Narrows his eyes at the black and red eyes staring back in the reflection but then tries to imitate the look Agni had done with his own eyes. He then looks back at Agni trying to do what he had just done to try to be intimidating but his grin and age does not help it at all).

Agni: (He chuckles again seeing the sight). Well it's a good start young one, however you will get there. Just keep practicing. I promise it will be more intimidating in the future as you go along.

Yami: (Grins more). Yeah but getting to the fighting's the fun part. (Looks back at the knight and seeing the red glow of his eyes behind the helmet being intimidating just with naturally that but also his size). Yes pretty good at it too but he's just a giant so that makes it easy.

????: (Pats Yami head as he looks down at him).

Yami: (Looks up at the knight questioningly). Is he ever going to talk?

Agni: (He thinks for a moment). Hmm, he has talked a few times in past but not as much really. It's actually quite rare to hear anything sometimes.

Yami: (Has even more questions being more confused). He wears that metal armor all the time too? Doesn't that get annoying?

????: (He just looks down at Yami and shrugs as a response).

Agni: (He thinks for a second). Hmm, a few times he has taken it off, but only at my request. Since this a special assignment I would prefer if he wore it most times until the assignment is over.

????: (Nods his in agreement with Agni).

Yami: Seems like a big hassle but I guess....

????: (Shakes his head yes kneeling down to Yami's level but facing Agni, getting Yami to face him as well).

Yami: (Does not get it at first but then slowly starts to get it as showing him how to be more intimidating through his stare). Oh... I get it... Your pretty good at that stuff too.

Agni: (He smiles as he goes back to work). Yes, he is quite proficient, in the ways of that.

Yami: Guess it makes sense if he's your champion guy. (Tries to follow what the knight shows but it still is a bit silly looking still when he tries it).

????: (Tries to help in the small lesson by giving his own intimidating stare to learn from).

Yami: (He looks at the knight closely or at least his glowing red eyes under the helmet but he has to pause seeing something off about it. He cannot place why though but he looks closer to try and figure out what is so familiar).

???? (Seeing the look Yami gives him he instantly stands and looks away before Yami has a chance to making him stumble).

Yami: Wah! (Stumbles out of the chair and falls on to the floor rubbing his head as he sits up). What the hell was that for!

Agni: (He chuckles as he hears the commotion in the background). Well then, I guess you're learning something's at least.

Yami: (Swiftly stands hitting the knights arm but more jokingly). Not cool dude. (Goes over to Agni's desk standing on the other side of it being confused by what he had said. He also looks at all off the odd looking magic items and tools for measurements. He does not even know what they are but the shiny ones interest him picking up some to get a closer look). Yeah and what's that?

Agni: (He thinks for a moment on how to explain it easily). Well they are like special items for me that do magical things.

Yami: Yeah? How's it work? (Starts to play with some of the measuring tools and vile in his hands as he inspects them close to the desk seeing Dragon tilt his head at it too).

Agni: but do please be careful, there are something's that are very precious on that table.

Yami: Wha-. (As he looks up to Agni from playing with the instrument and vile he fumbles with it. He panics quickly to catch it although it breaks apart with the attempt with a poof of colored smoke. Looking up at Agni he has a nervous smile). ... Umm... Oops...? Dragon did it?

(Dragon instantly looks up at Yami stretching his wings out with a squeak like attempt at roaring as if offended).

Agni: (He sighs and face palms as he goes towards the mess). I told you to be careful young Yami. A lot of the things on here could hurt you if you're are not careful.

Yami: (Has a sheepish grin as he scratches his head). Yeah sorry about that, have a habit of swiping stuff too that looks cool. (He becomes more sheepish as he realizes something and ducks his head down).

Agni: (He sighs). Well just be careful alright Yami becau-. (Notices Yami ducking his head down).

Yami: Yeah I get it, I'll be careful with the stuff. (Still ducks his head down and looks away).

????: (The knight seeing Yami's reaction shakes his head and opens his hand out in front of him as if waiting for something to be placed there, this as well letting Agni have a idea as well).

Yami: (Looks up at the knights open hand to him being confused). Yeah, what?

Agni: (See's the knights hand open). Young Yami, what do you have with you now?

Yami: (Mumbles out his response as he starts to dig through his pockets). Just like to take stuff that looks cool....

Agni: (He sighs as he also holds out his hands). Well it is not right to try and take stuff from me. It is not a good idea.

Yami: Yeah I get it, just a habit from before when taking shiny cool stuff meant more food. (He starts to take out shiny objects he had taken over his time there out of his pocket and place them on the desk and in their hands. Some both Agni and the knight would think were impossible for him to take without their knowledge. One of the things that most stand out is their medallions as fires champion and leader and council member of fire).

????: (Has to take a moment to pause and look down at his chest where he had his medallion pinned to his red cloak seeming surprised how he had not noticed).

Agni: (He laughs a bit after seeing the medallions). Well you are skilled one indeed... Huh never expected that.

Yami: (His grin returns seeing the reaction giving a shrug as he does small yet impressive sleight of hand tricks with Agni's medallion with ease). I had to so I wasn't caught when I was out there.

Agni: (He nods his head as he watches the technique closely) . True it was a means of survival and living for you. Especially at such a young age.

Yami: When you're hungry not much else you can do to make it out there. Habit just stuck. (Shrugs but frowns trying not to think to hard about that time when he remembers something else taking him out of those thoughts). Oh right took one more thing from you just now. (Starts digging in his other pocket).

Agni: (He looks impressed for a second). Oh did you now?

Yami: Yeah can't help taking stuff and realize I did it after sometimes. (He finally takes out what he was digging around for and when he opens his hand it is a small golden locket with a floral design engraved into it. Getting a better look at what he had taken he holds it in front of his face by the gold chain to get a better look as he says more to himself but out loud). Wait... Did I steal this somewhere before?

Agni: (He swipes the locket away from Yami in almost a second as he has a stern look on his face and looks at it in his hands). Don't ever try to take this ever again Yami... Is that clear.... (Yami can hear the small amount of anger from his voice as though the item is very precious to him).

Yami: (Instantly puts his hands up defensively being surprised by the reaction and leans back from Agni to create at least a little distance). Umm yeah dude sorry... Just chill. Won't happen again, my bad....

Agni: (He looks at it for a second as takes a deep breath). No, no it is my apologies for reacting like that. It is... This little item is very precious to me so please do avoid taking it again.

Yami: (Shakes his head becoming a little less tense and on guard). No I get it, my bad for taking it. Must be really important to make you snap like that so won't happen again. (Still glances at the locket, he swears he had held it before but he can't place it so he lets it go with a shrug).

Agni: (He grabs his pendant and places it in his inner coat pocket). Alright well than, I'm glad you understand sorry for snapping at you like that.

Yami: Nah its cool, just can see why people say your scary sometimes but so is anybody when mess with stuff they care about. (Stretches his arms and sits back feeling the area relax again).

????: (Offers a hand to help Yami up and then puts his fist out to him).

Yami: Umm... I guess? (Pauses confused at first but then connects his fist to the knights). You know what, you're not so bad.

???? (Nods his head as well as patting Yami's back, looking to Agni knowing they should leave him to his work).

Yami: Oh... We should go? (Looks from the knight to Agni with a questioning stare).

Agni: (He waves towards them). Yes, yes if you wish to go anywhere please don't go far as I still have plans for the young lad.

Yami: (Pauses hearing Agni looking down in uncertainty still having some fear he tries to push back). This is all going to work out tomorrow... Right?

Agni: (He looks towards Yami with a smile). Yes it should work.... I've given up too many things for it not too.

Yami: (Sighs and gives a relieved look though he still scared. Despite his attempt to hide the fear that doesn't work as well as he tries). I hope it works too. (He hops out of his chair looking at Agni for a moment. The fear is still in his eyes but there is a hopeful smile as well).

Agni: (He smiles back before he goes back to work). Yes... It has to work... It needs too.

Yami: Yeah.... (Shakes his head and goes to the door to leave the room with the knight following right behind. He puts his hands in his pockets casually then looks up from behind him at the knight). You got stuff to eat here right?

????: (Shakes his head yes while staying right behind Yami but not out of the room quite yet).

Yami: (Grins and picks up the pace to get going). Good come on I'm starving.

????: (He nods again but before following after Yami he stops right before exiting the door and looks over his shoulder back at Agni. He says nothing but it is clear to Agni why he stops).

Agni: (He sighs as he hears the knight stop). I know I know... Things will be ok I promise... They have too... I've sacrificed too much for this not to work... Then you can return to your family.

????: (Shakes his head and turns to leave and catch up with Yami).

The night is quite yet tense for all leavening many to struggle sleeping on both sides. The group tracking Yami's trail has to stop and camp unable to act with their small group. As much as they hate it they need reinforcements to act. What hangs over their minds as well is the unknown of what this next day will bring. There is always loss with battles and wars but they will still fight to make sure the least amount of that loss is possible but the thought of the unknown outcome still leave all restless.

Kairi: (Looks down from what had happened earlier being saddened from how Yami had acted last seeing him wiping her eyes on her sleeve. She helps tend to the animals with Jennifer unable to sleep well like everyone else).

Kura: (Is on another part of the rock formation away from everyone else as she looks out. She feels like being alone for now as she anxiously thinks of whatever the outcome may be after this night).

Shizen: (Stares out over a rock formation hiding their little camp into the distance of their targeted location being their lookout as she tends to her bow. She also keeps a eye on Hiki and Tori suggesting they practice their new skills to transfer and share their elements evenly as balance. She has a feeling that skill will be a key one needed in this fight as much as she wants to handle it herself).

Jennifer: (Takes a break from tending to the animals seeing them able to rest this night and keep Kairi at least a little calmer. She decides to go over and sit next to Chazz by the camp fire. She makes sure to take a seat on the side of him further from the fire. Looking over she sees he has the sword given to them by the blacksmith in the earth city in his hand unwrapped from his leather bindings. She looks curiously and puzzled to what he is trying to do with it which catches his eyes from a slight pause in his focus).

Chazz: (He is closely watching the sword as he notices Jennifer watching him as well). Oh I am sorry for zoning out. I have been trying to find ways to use this new weapon more effectively... Trying to get my energy to infuse with it... And it's quite frustrating so far to say the least.

Jennifer: (Looks over Chazz's shoulder at the sword in thought wanting to help). It does not seem like it has responded much. The gem is still dim... Maybe it does not work the same way as our other weapons energy?

Chazz: (He thinks for a moment as he still examines the blade). Maybe it needs more.

Jennifer: (Looks at the odd gem in the center oddly. It seems as if Chazz can only fill half of the gem with energy but still not awakened leaving her a bit baffled). It just seems dormant when you try by yourself. Maybe it needs more of different kinds of energy?

Chazz: (He places his own swords on top of the blade). Maybe, I am just trying to figure out what type of energy it will need.

Jennifer: (Takes her own bow off of her shoulder and holds it in front of her like Chazz does with his). Well if anyone can figure it out I know it is you and if you need help I am right here to help in whatever way I can.

Chazz: (He smiles as he puts his weapons away). Well I do appreciate the compliment now Jennifer but I will be sure to take you up on that the moment I need you. (The smile is very sincere looking at Jennifer).

Jennifer: (Her smile is just as genuine towards Chazz with a small blush). I just don't want you to try and carry everything on your shoulders by yourself when things get out of control.

Chazz: (A small blush comes across his face for a second as well before he coughs and then looks back towards the weapon). I know, and believe me I might just be ready to share the burden when I need to. I just hope I am not bothering you when I do.

Jennifer: (Looks down but still has a small smile as she leans on Chazz's shoulder). You never could bother me... Just know that if you try to protect all of us that way I am too stubborn to let you try and do it alone.

Chazz: (He chuckles a bit at the comment yet knows how serious she is). Yes, yes I could never go against your stubbornness now could I?

Jennifer: (Has a light laugh along with him as she puts bluntly). No you never could... And I know everyone will do anything possible to fix things and keep everyone safe. This is a fascinating world they call home after all. Let's make sure it stays that way for them. (She looks up at Chazz with a small smile still and sincere look in her eyes looking to all of the spirits with them as well).

Chazz: (He looks into her eyes than looks towards everyone as well as he nods). Yes, we will make sure of it... It is quite fascinating, if only had more time to learn more about this place.

Jennifer: (With hearing that last part from Chazz she looks down and her smile fades). It would of been nice to travel this world in different circumstances... More time.... (She pauses on those two words and gets a small frown).

Chazz: (His smile begins to fade as well). It would have been nice... A little vacation in this world for a while. I'm sure we will have another chance later... But for now we have things to do.

Jennifer: (Her frown grows as she gives a more hesitant nod and her fists clench).

Chazz: (He holds her shoulder). It will be alright.

Jennifer: (Sighs as she looks at all of the spirits with them once again). I know... It just makes me do a lot of thinking about them more than anything... First it was that they live so long... Our lives are just a blink of the eye compared... But at the same point that short of time it helped bring them closer and helped them grow with that bond more than they could probably ever have imagined or done alone. (She gets a slight smile back seeing their spirits working together with each other so much closer then when they first started their adventures).

Chazz: (He watches the group of spirits as well). You are right... Things have changed a lot for them... But at the same time for us as well. True our lives are much shorter than theirs... But those smiles we have seen so far...They are only seen once a life time.

Jennifer: And a life time is the longest thing we will ever experience so we will spend however long that is together. We will enjoy it and protect everyone no matter what. In a way staying together in this little group helped heal all of them and us little by little... And after this I want to make sure they don't lose that and still hold tightly to their bonds to one another. (Her smile turn more determined as she looks at Chazz).

Chazz: (He holds her hand). Now there is that fire in your eyes. I have missed seeing it truly... And yes being with all of them has helped us just as much as them... And I am sure we are make that happen Jennifer.

Jennifer: (Laughs with a faint blush shaking her head). I know we will and you have to have that fire more than ever right now... Though I do not think I would use fire in my case. It is just when you see everyone else is fighting for the same goal here it hard not to feel determined to make things right again.

Chazz: (He laughs at the idea). Well than if fire will not work I am sure we can think of something else. And yes... It helps give that determination to make things right and much better than before for everyone.

Jennifer: Yes... No matter what I want to make sure of that for everyone at the end of this. (She puts her head on Chazz's shoulder finding comfort from it when doing so. She as well looks down at his hand and with a small smile she tugs at the green ribbon tied around his wrist with little thought).

Chazz: (He smiles for a second). Yes... I wish for that as well... We need it to be true.

Jennifer: No matter what we will make that happen... I know we will. (She slowly goes to hold his hand but once she does she holds onto it tightly).

Chazz: (Holds on just as tightly). We will make it happen. No matter what even if just for a moment... Let's just stay like this for a little while more....

Jennifer: (She shakes her head and looks up at Chazz and the sky comfortably as they try focus on the moment instead of thinking of the uncertainties of tomorrow). I would like that....

Jennifer and Chazz stay like that for quite some time but as they enjoy this moment of quiet Kairi sits with the animals near doing the same in her own way. She hums to herself lightly while leaning back on Spike and Rocky who snuggle up and keep her warm. She has a small smile to herself as she seems to carve something small in her hands being very focused into putting care into it. Orion walking back from his watch noticing this sight of both his pets snuggled up to her straight away before anything else.

Orion: (He walks towards Kairi and his pets since needs to check up on them anyway). Oh? This seems to be a good place to relax now. Spike, Rocky, how could you both not tell me you were relaxing. I'm hurt. (He says sarcastically with a small grin).

Kairi: (Hearing Orion she quickly covers whatever she is carving with her hands from him and gives him a smile). Hi Orion! (Spike and Rocky only lift their heads towards him as any other movement would disrupt Kairi who lies against them).

Orion: (He notices her putting something away). Now, now Mis Kairi, what are you doing? Hmm?

Kairi: (Perks up as if being caught with something and gives a nervous laugh and a very obvious lie as she holds it behind her back from Orion). Nothing....

Orion: (He smiles as he gives her a small hug and then grabs the item she hiding, holding it in his hand closed). Mis Kairi I don't like liar's now.

Kairi: (At first the hug is welcomed but then realizes that it is no longer in her hands quickly reaching out to Orion to try and take it back but he is far too tall to reach). W-Wait it is not done yet!

Orion: (He smiles at the attempt). Well then tell me what it is before I look it.

Kairi: (She is surprised but then settles back down with the animals again but looks down with a embarrassed blush as it meant a lot to try and make). Well....

Orion: (He gets closer to Kairi as he kneels before her). Well what Kairi?

Kairi: (She gets more embarrassed but also uncertain of how Orion would react about it. She hesitantly starts to quietly explain). Well after what happened earlier today... I just remembered the ducky pendant you have... And how much that means to you... So I thought.... (Her hands tighten in her lap not wanting Orion to become upset again).

Orion: (He is speechless for a second as he opens his palm and sees the work in progress... He opens his mouth as though he is about to say something but yet it won't come out. He then looks towards Kairi and holds her hand). Kairi... Thank you for the idea... I do appreciate it honestly... And I thank you....

Kairi: (Still looks down as she sees the duck pendant on Orion's wrist as a bracelet and then the pendant of a bunny she just had made out of stone). ... I just know how much the ducky one means to you... So I wanted to give you my own version of it to have from me.

Orion: (A tear begins to form in his eyes as he wipes it away). No, no, no... Kairi... I welcome it... I want to see your own version.

Kairi: (Begins to look up hearing Orion). You really like it...? I was worried that making it for you would upset you....

Orion: (He chuckles a bit as he hands it back to Kairi as he shakes his head no). No, no not at all... I do like it... I'm sorry I ruined the surprise... Thank you miss Kairi, it means a lot.

Kairi: (Gets up and goes on her toes to reach up and give Orion a big hug. She smiles as she gets teary eyed). I'm really glad you like it then!

Orion: (He picks her up as he gives her a big hug letting his tears run out for a second). Yes... Thank you very much Kairi....

Kairi: (She wipes her eyes on Orion shoulder but still smiles as she tears up more). I'm really happy it means a lot to you... I really hoped it would.

Orion: (He smiles as he holds onto Kairi a bit longer and then let's go). Yes... It will mean a lot coming from you so again... Thank you.

Kairi: (She has a big bright smile and then looks at the bunny pendant in her hand). Since you already know about it now... It's almost done, I was just having trouble with the hoop to fit it onto the bracelet... So could you help teach me how to make that part?

Orion: (He chuckles for a second as he gives it back to Kairi). Really? You want me to help make the surprise gift for me? (He says sarcastically and grins as he sits down next to her). Well of course I'll help dear.

Kairi: (Pushes Orion's shoulder away in a joking matter as she giggles). Hey I just was having trouble with this part so it could loop onto the bracelet. I made the bunny part so that is what is most important. (Crosses her arms and pouts stubbornly).

Orion: (He laughs as he pats Kairi's head). Yes I'm sorry for teasing you.

Kairi: (Giggles and pets both Spike and Rocky who settle back down behind them again). And maybe you can show me some more earth things. It is a really cool element.

Orion: (He pets his animals as well). Well of course, it's only right to help teach you how to use earth element.

Kairi: (Looks up at Orion with a bright smile). Thank you! (She then looks down at her hands with a smaller smile but determination in her eyes). And maybe somehow it can help Yami....

Orion: (He pets her head). Yes... I know it will help Yami

Kairi: (She looks back up at Orion with a determined hope in her smile and a slight brown glow in her eyes). Then I will do my best to learn!

Orion: (The smile on his face shifts for a second as Kairi turns away again and says to himself quietly). It will be ok... We will make it work.

More away from the makeshift camp Hiki and Tori train making sure they are far enough to not disturb their quiet. Shizen sits nearby on a rock and leans on her bow watching their training closely. All three have a feeling that time is running out to achieve a full connection to each other's elements in balance so Hiki and Tori push themselves past any limits they have set. Their training has left them beyond exhausted but it does not matter pushing even further knowing how much this will likely be needed from them to achieve.

Tori: (As they both struggle more and more with this... The signs of frustration and the want to get this down is beginning to get to them). Alright, well this is not going very well. (He scratches his head). What else can we do? Uhh, maybe it's something that we are doing wrong... I’m trying to get my head around this…. What else should we try?

Hiki: (Her breathing is heavy as this is beginning to take a toll on her body and she can feel it, but her mind still feels clouded from other things). I’m sorry about that Tori, maybe it's me? But, yes let's try again. We have to get this down as best as we can.

Tori: (He grins as he pats Hiki's head). Come now Hiki, don’t think it's just you here. Don’t blame yourself at all. Let's try again.

Both of the spirits join their hands together because they know they have done it once before... When Chazz was having the mock fight with Nara... But it was only in that moment... They haven’t been able to have that resonance with each other like that ever again... It's been a struggle for the both of them. As the energy begins to flow through both of the spirits. They can feel it connecting and becoming one type of energy but it only lasts for a few moments. They feel something that is a block, something stopping them from doing this.

Tori: (They break apart from each other as they are shocked and frustrated because they know they are so close). Ahh we were so close! What's going on?

Hiki: (she gets greatly frustrated, as she just lays back on the grass and just looks into the sky). Maybe it is the thing in our minds? I'm not sure... It just felt like we are blocking each other. Maybe... I'm not sure really... Like I want to get this to work… For Chazz and everyone else….

Shizen: (Sighs shaking her head at them from where she sits observing). Your thinking about this the absolute wrong way.

Hiki: (She tilts her head and as does Tori). What do you mean Shizen?

Shizen: You don't know it but you are blocking each other out almost completely by having your minds scattered on other things besides each other. You need to empty your minds until there are only focus of each other, anything else is a distraction even if it feels like a motivation. It's not easy and that is putting it lightly. Outside distractions need to be emptied from your mind, even any of us because your mind will go to thoughts that make your emotions overwhelm your mind... Especially you on this Hiki. (Looks directly at Hiki seeing how much her emotions are distracting her).

Hiki: (She is taken aback for a second from Shizen's words as her eyes widen from the shock). ... What do you mean Shizen?

Tori: (He is surprised as well to hear about it really... Because usually Hiki is calm or upbeat... But right now he can feel the nerves she has right now).

Shizen: (Looks at Hiki sternly as her approach is very blunt). Answer me this Hiki, or better yet admit it to yourself. This whole time have you been focusing on your connection with Tori... Or Chazz?

Hiki: (Her face suddenly turns very red from ear to ear as she is blushing very hard). I... I... I'm not sure.... (She struggles for a second to admit it).

Shizen: (Frowns looking at Hiki evenly). You do not need to admit it to me but in order to achieve this at least admit it to yourself... You will never be able to achieve this if your focus is scattered and you close your partner in balance out of it... That is true for any team to work fluidly as one... Especially if you are hiding pain from him like this.

Hiki: (As Shizen is saying all of this her eyes begin to tear up and looks towards Tori. She just stands there for a second before looking down).

Tori: (He is taken aback for a second... As he watches someone who has been basically his sister since the start of the everything... Someone he trusts the most out of anyone... Slowly breaking down as he feels a pain his heart as though... The screams in hers are reaching him. He walks towards her... And looks at her for a second trying to see her face). Hiki... Talk to me... No more tear's.

Shizen: (Looks down herself in her own reminiscing of something similar). Heartbreak... It's one of the hardest things to move past and sometimes accept... But having a big brother to depend on and help lift you up makes it a bit easier at least.

Hiki: (She looks up towards Tori and with her tear stained face, the pure agony that it screams. The strength to try to hold it in... To no longer be upset... To keep going regardless of everything else fades away... Her feelings for Chazz are not different... But she knows at the end of the day he will be happy... That is enough for her... But at the same time... She just wishes it was her with him... The same way as before... Spirit or not... She still loves him... She runs into Tori's arms and just cries and screams into his chest).

Tori: (He is surprised at first but after a few seconds. He pats her head and keeps holding her closer... To let her know everything is going to be ok).

Shizen: (Out of respect she turns to face away from them quietly and give them a few moments to themselves. She focuses on both of their birds perched beside her tending to them to make sure they feel more privacy).

Hiki: (Cries and cries over and over again in Tori's chest letting out the anguish in her heart).

Tori: (Keeps comforting her as best he can by just being there for her).

Shizen: (Sighs and looks down after a few moments of hearing the heavy cries). Tori it's more than just that... Listen to her... If she is closing you off with those emotions so you cannot connect break those barriers with that strong will of yours... Just close your eyes listen carefully... Then you will know how to help her.

Tori looks up towards Shizen with a confused look on his face. It's true... H e isn't sure on how to proceed with this besides normal comfort... If anything Hiki has been the person more there for him next to Chazz. He is unsure and it shows... For a moment he listens to Shizen's advice and closes his eyes. When he opens them it's as though he is a library... Full of light spirits. But everywhere he turns all he sees are the emotions Tori is used to seeing. From happy to irritated to... Love... But as he looks closer at the love... It's slowly breaking. More and more he looks around frantically... But then as he is about to give up... He meets a small child in the corner of the library... Crying her eyes out into a book... As though it is the only comfort she had ever had.

In the book Tori can see a childish picture drawn of people like Chazz and Jennifer... The page is stained with tears. As he approaches the small girl he sits next to her then he hears the true cry's within Hiki... The happiness of Chazz but yet the feelings of nothing being unable to stand next to him... Not the same feelings that she wants... Everything overcomes Tori and he grabs the girl into hug saying.

Tori: IT WILL BE OK! I know I'm an idiot... I'm not someone that can truly help you overcome this... BUT I'LL BE HERE WITH YOU... Always because Hikari... Your my family... Someone I hold close... Any heartbreak you have... I'll be here to share with you... Every step of the way... I love you Hiki as my family... And I won't leave you alone... You'll make it through... We'll make it through together....

As he says this he hears a familiar voice from his childhood... It's himself... Approaching the small girl... And holding out his hand for her... She looks up with her tear stained cheeks and hesitates to grab his hand but he smiles at her grabbing her hand and pulling her up. The smile begins to grow on the girl and they walk towards the door. The energies within them begin to shine and begin to mix together... Tori hears Nagi and Shiro....

Shiro: (Even though the figure shines bright making it hard to see they recognize her voice easily as well as Nagi's from a shadowy figure, each with a little of the opposite element at their center). Both of you have struggled and worked so hard to reach your potential. It would make any mentor... And parent beyond proud of such determined children.

Nagi: (They both hear a chuckle from the male figure). Now I know my student can do much better than this. Struggling is normal but I know you both will overcome this.

Shiro: After all you have grown so much since then... Haven't you. (As she says this she walks forward to Hiki with Nagi doing the same to Tori. She kneels down to Hiki's level as she becomes more than just her figure but a glow of light stays. Putting a hand to her cheek she brings her head up to look at her and no longer downward).

Nagi: (As he goes towards Tori and kneels down and hits his back once and places his hand on his shoulder). Your both strong... We are both proud and you Tori. I've taught you better than this though. Your strong enough.

Shiro: You both are strong enough to not let something like this block each other out. As balance you have a bond to each other. Remembering that you can rely on the other for more strength is how we became two of the strongest spirits known... And both of you have that same potential if you were to rely on each other just the same.

Nagi: (He smiles as he rubs both of their heads). Continue staying strong together. You can overcome anything ahead of you and you know that. Have that faith in each other like you have before. Keep going forward and staying strong. Your both have been wonderful to watch over and to grow stronger.

Shiro: (With Nagi she helps both of them stand as they are now with a light and dark aura forming around both of them as if transferred from both her and Nagi to Hiki and Tori). You have that same power inside of you and have so much inner strength. (She first looks at Tori placing a motherly hand on his cheek). I'm proud that you are my son just make sure not to blame and shoulder too much on your own... And promise me that you and your brothers and sister will stay together from now... Drifting apart only goes further then everything we wanted for all of you... And I know the group you have formed as another family now will just make that family bigger to share everything with... It's when you smiled most... Harness those feelings and you can achieve the balance you are trying for now.

Nagi: (He smiles and taps Tori on the shoulder and hits it as well). Now Tori don’t disappoint your mother now. She put up with all of us and she could be the happiest person in the world. Your group is like this new family of yours and honestly I like the lot of them. The moments you have shared with them and how have they made you stronger.

Tori: (Tears begin to well up in his eyes as he can’t believe he gets to talk to both Nagi and Shiro again as he just shakes his head yes and Hiki is also speechless with her tear stained cheeks). I will make sure… And it hard not to do that... But I will do my best and I know both Hiki and I can do it. They are like my new family, and I will make sure to hold onto these bonds strongly.

Shiro: (Shakes her head as she pats Tori's head). And that is all we wanted for you and never forget that... But I do know that if that happens you have others and most importantly each other to find your way again. It makes me proud to call you my son and yes having so many dark spirits stay close to you is quite a handful but well worth it... I can see you have that trait as well Hiki to say the same. (Laughs as she faces Hiki placing her other hand on her cheek).

Hiki: (She looks up towards Shiro with a small smile as the tears on her face just happy to see her again as she now falls into her arms). Shiro…..

Shiro: (She has a comforting smile as she helps wipe her tears). You always were a emotional one but it is a good thing showing how sincerely you care... It shows how big your heart is and it is something someone special will be lucky to love one day.

Hiki: (She just hangs onto Shiro and just cries everything out onto her shoulder). Shiro... Shiro... Bu-... But....

Shiro: (Pets Hiki's head, holding her close in comfort). Now Hiki... I know it hurts deeply now... But it will get better even though it may not seem like it will... Now you forget a little advice that I gave you quite some time ago... It is something I always said to any girl in my house to help when it came to these types of things.

Hiki: (She just holds Shiro closely as she still cries but nods her head yes).

Shiro: (Still holds Hiki in a comforting and soothing way). It was that you must make sure he is the one chasing you even if he's too stubborn to admit it. You have not found that quite yet but I do not want you to tear yourself apart because the one you wanted to did not give chase... It was not anything you did wrong and one day you will find that love you always talked about as a little girl... You just cannot rush finding it.

Hiki: (She breaks from the hold for a second as she looks at Shiro into her eyes). He was for a bit... Maybe it was just my own thoughts... But I thought it could lead to something more... I know he loves me... Maybe I just was being selfish cause I wanted more... He was first real friend... And my feelings were overrun with happiness... I just want him to... Hold me at least one more time..

Shiro: (Wipes Hiki's eyes of tears). I know that is what you want but you also have to have the strength to accept and move forward yourself or else you will be stuck in a cycle that breaks down your will. Yes he will always be a dear first friend but sometimes that does not grow into more even if that is hard to admit to yourself. If you need that closure then ask for that but I know you are strong and can move forward from this pain in your heart. You have always been a person who shows their emotions clearly and there's nothing wrong with that and it doesn't make you selfish to have such a pure loving heart. I just know that you have the strength just as great if not greater with that to stand tall once again.

Hiki: (She just goes back into the hold quietly as she nods her head yes. The crying has stopped as she takes a glance towards Tori).

Shiro: You have someone here who will help you through this, just open up to him and not let it build up inside. He is there to help your strength and heart shine again like I know it does brighter than any star can compare.

Hiki: (She pulls back from Shiro and looks at Tori. At the same speed she normally runs she rushes into Tori making him fall down on his back. With a huge hug Hiki just whimpers into his chest).

Shiro: (She laughs lightly shaking her head as she stands back up again beside Nagi).

Tori: (Is taken incredibly off guard by Hiki but then just holds her as she cries into his chest). It's ok Hiki... It'll always be ok. (All anyone can hear from her are the tear just flooding out her eyes)

Shiro: (Watches both in this comforting moment staying mostly quiet with Nagi until Hiki can calm down). And that is why it will be.

Nagi: (He places his hand on Shiro's shoulder). Ahh I remember the days when you cried liked that with me? (He says with a smirk).

Shiro: (Raises a eyebrow with her own smile back as she reaches to hold his hand on her shoulder). Oh? And I can think of a few rare times you have done same.

Nagi: (He laughs a bit as he pulls her in to hold in a hug). Your right, I know we did the same thing every so often. Sometimes you're just so stubborn.

Shiro: (Smiles more and kisses Nagi's cheek). Well we may have done that but that connection in balance helped us through whatever we went through... And it will help them just the same... Well with a different form of love of course but still a bond just as strong. (She rests her head on Nagi as she turns to look at Hiki and Tori with more of a sweet smile).

Nagi: (He kisses her back as he pets her head). You are right about that very much. The bond will help them keep going.

Shiro: Yes as long as they do not block the other out they will be able to do just that.

Tori: (More and more just pets Hiki's head trying to keep calm. The more he does this the you more effective it seems to be as the sounds of crying die down).

Shiro: (Smiles lightly as she stands near them with Nagi). Hiki... I know you will find one day a young man that chases you instead... Then it will be your turn to decide whether you want to chase back. I know he will just as a hopeless romantic as you could be and maybe just as goofy as the one I have found... Well maybe not quite. The only why that would occur is if he passed it down along with that big ego of his. (Starts to laugh wrapping her arms around Nagi's shoulder to hold him).

Nagi: (He laughs a bit as he wraps his arms around Shiro as well). hey, hey this big ego of mine is something that you love so much so don't act like it isn't your favorite thing in the world.

Tori: (He keeps petting her hair as she begins to stop crying... Only feeling the shaking from Hiki on top of him).

Shiro: (Her smile is sincere as she nods looking from Nagi to Hiki with a nod). And I know she will find that as well and it will be just as special. Things will seem less difficult after some time. But for now lift up your head and both of you stand strong together knowing that you have each other to depend on when things seem hard and never block each other out again. Can you promise that so you do not feel alone to deal with things again?

Hiki: (She nods her head on Tori's chest and begins to get off of him and stand up. Pulling up Tori as well with her as she looks towards the ground).

Tori: (He has a sigh of relief and happiness seeing that she has calmed down. He holds her hand as he looks towards Nagi and Shiro). I'll make sure she does, and if she ever needs to cry again... She will always have me around no matter what.

Shiro: (Nods her head with her smile growing with Nagi). And Hiki I know you will do the exact same for Tori when he needs it.

Nagi: (He laughs a bit). Well he better, because oh boy was he a cry baby sometimes.

Hiki: (She giggles a little bit changing the feelings in the atmosphere). Yes... I will make sure it happens... He is too much of a knucklehead to hide it from me.... (Tori can see a small smile on her face).

Tori: (He blushes quite a bit). Don't have to say it like that now Hiki....

Shiro: (Can't help but laugh along with them). I cannot argue with that but it just shows how tender his heart is. And I have to say Nagi and I quite like the girl your heart has chosen Tori. Quite a adorable one if a say so myself. (Her smile grows more as well as her laugh).

Tori: (He pauses for a second as he process Shiro's comment). Oh yeah... Kairi is pretty good and really adorable.

Hiki: (She perks up for a moment as she looks at Tori). I KNEW IT WAS KAIRI AHH!

Shiro: We are very happy you have found someone to make your heart feel that way and we couldn't be happier seeing how you were with one another. Nagi especially quite liked her for you isn't that right dear? (She looks up at Nagi with another big smile and laugh).

Nagi: (He smirks a bit as he kisses Shiro). She seems like a fun girl and I can see the love in between and it's so cute.

Shiro: And get ready and accept for your life to be very pink from now on.

Tori: (He blushes a bit as he scratches his head). I'm very aware.

Hiki: (She is just smirking as she is learning about this enjoying the moment greatly).

Shiro: (Smiles again and nods). She is a very special girl that one... And something tells me she will be one of the strongest of all with such a energy.

Nagi: Indeed... She will be interesting girl later down the line... I do look forward to seeing where things go.

Shiro: I do as well.... But it is dependent on you two and the others now on how things come to pass.

Tori: (He looks towards Hiki and grabs her hand).

Hiki: (She is taken by surprise at first but holds his hand tightly). I'm going to have to keep talking to you about stuff aren't I?

Tori: (He smirks). Pretty much, so you better get used to it dummy

Shiro: (She and Nagi close their eyes and nods her approval to them being proud of them). And as long as you do that you will be able to achieve this and so much more. (As she says this both she and Nagi presence and energy begins to fade slightly from them but it is still noticeable).

Tori: (Both he and Hiki are still looking towards each other as the two who raised them begin to fade). Yeah... We will do that... Get to where we need to go.

Shiro: (both smile and look back at both of them with pride). Good... We need to go now... This is farewell but we know both of you will stay strong now and remember the lessons we passed down to you.

Nagi: (He nods as he hears Shiro). And when's it's next time for the next duo of balance spirit's. I know you two will lead them right.

Hiki: (Just is realizing what's about to happen she hangs onto the two of them very tightly as she nods her head yes). I will... I will make sure to carry on your will Shiro... Especially with an idiot brother like Tori.

Tori: (He ignores Hiki's comment and holds tightly onto the two of them, tears staining his cheeks). I will miss you both so much... And thank you for raising me and giving me that chance... Thank you both so much.

Shiro: Then that is all we could ask for... It's time to part but we know you will do great things... We couldn't be happier watching you grow... We love you so much. (She kisses both Hiki and Tori on the head and then the last thing she does before disappearing with Nagi is she looks to him with a smile and says). We have raised some great kids haven't we Nagi?

Nagi: (He nods his head yes as he kisses both of their heads as well). Yes we have... And I couldn't be happier to see them off like this. It Is the proudest moment for any parent. (His hand begins to fade fully as he kisses Shiro).

Shiro: (Does the same and then returns Nagi's kiss). I only wish we could have told our other children how proud we are of them as well.... Please let them know and try to stay close with them and your little group if you could give us that last promise... Having a family like that is one of the most important things to hold onto and cherish.... (Her words echo and fade out as she does but Hiki feels a energy flow into her at the same time as Tori feels the same but from Nagi).

Nagi: (He pats Tori on the back). You better make sure to protect the ones you care about. If I find out someone got hurt the group and you didn't help I'll haunt you... But I'm proud of all of you... I just wish I had more moments to make it known... See you kiddos another time. (His words as well echo as he fades away as dark energy goes into Tori. The dark and light energy flows into Hiki and Tori and they can feel the inner strength it gives them. They also feel their energies together as they are finally able to focus on each other's flow of energy with no distractions and clear shared emotions being unblocked from the other now).

Hiki: (She and Tori both look around and the library that begins to crumble around them. A new scenery begins to form... It's where they met Chazz. They both smile and hold each other's hand). Thanks Tori... For not giving up on me... Ever.

Tori: (He smiles warmly as holds her hand). Idiot... Just tell me next time alright? We can talk more later, but right now let's help our master... And the friends we have.

Hiki: (She nods her head yes with that big smile of hers and small tears in her eyes).

It is almost like they blink and their minds vision blurs back to the real physical world they are in. They are in a pose together with their joined hands pointed straight out in a direction to the side the face while being held close by one another. Both their energies flow smoothly and transfers evenly from both of them starting from their joined hands that are pointed out. Shizen having watched is left speechless from all that she sees.

Shizen: (Seeing Hiki and Tori in this stance brings back so many memories that tug at her emotions. What leaves her even more overwhelmed by those emotions is she can swear she sees a silhouette of two figures standing behind them with hands on each of their shoulders that are too familiar to her. She puts a hand over her mouth and tears fall down her cheeks knowing what she saw even if it was only for a glancing second).

Hiki: (She and Tori look towards the figures as a small smile forms on both of their faces before they disappear and then she faces back to Tori). Let's get this ready for both of them....

Shizen: (She is still left speechless from what she sees but after it fades she can't help but laugh lightly as she wipes her eyes).

Tori: (He nods his head yes as they rejoin hands holding tightly. The energy between the two of them begin to mix and become one flow of energy gently surrounding the both of them).

Shizen: (She still is in a speechless emotion state but after a moment she looks down with a small smile as she says quietly). Well done... But that cannot even begin to say how big of a accomplishment this is.

Tori: (He and Hiki both smile greatly at Shizen). And we both aren't done just yet so more time to train.

Shizen: (She laughs a bit more this time). You certainly are determined and I couldn't be prouder of that for you. Just try to find time to have some well deserved rest tonight as well... It will be needed just as much as this.

Hiki: (She laughs as well with Tori a bit). We know, it's just... We have a legacy to carry on and I don't want to disappoint the will they placed in us....

Tori: (He looks down as Hiki is speaking). Yeah... I don't want to disappoint them... I don't want to get an earful when I see them again.

Shizen: (She looks down as well and nods. She slowly stands which disturb Silver and Owlet who glide over to Hiki and Tori with Owlet seeming to have a better hang of flying though not a smooth glide yet). I will let you train in peace then. I have helped with all I can and I will leave the rest to you.... (The next part is quieter as she turns away to hide her face bit. They can tell it is because of tears and the comment it not for them). It was good seeing you two again....

Hiki: (She and Tori shake their heads yes as they want to reach out to her... But they know it would only make it worse... So they keep training in peace hoping that Shizen will be alright.

Shizen: (She turns and leaves to let them train and to have some time alone with her thoughts. She sits on a rock in a quiet area staring out into the distance but much more is troubling her then just what happened in their training).

Rowen: (Is looking for Shizen as she was supposed to come back and talk with him. He finds her on the rock seeming a bit worried with all of the current events going on currently. He approaches Shizen quietly). Is something bothering you Shizen?

Shizen: (Perks up being one of the rare times she is caught off guard like this. She is not very subtle especially how she quickly wipes her eyes before turning to Rowen with a small smile). Oh Rowen... I shouldn't of kept you waiting like that... I'm sorry I must of forgotten.

Rowen: (He notices the small tears in her eyes as he leans in and begins to wipe them away). Now Shizen, you are not the type to forget. What's on your mind dear?

Shizen: (Has a shaky sigh as Rowen sits beside her smiling at the puppy in his lap and scratching Echo's head). Just seeing some really good old friends I didn't expect to see again... I admit it took me off guard.

Rowen: (As he lets Echo rest in her lap, he holds Shizen's shoulder as he looks at her warmly). Oh? And who did you see off?

Shizen: (She still smiles as she leans against Rowen resting her head on his shoulder). It was only for a second at most... But I swear I saw Nagi and Shiro help guide Hiki and Tori through their training....

Rowen: (He is silent for a second as he is surprised to hear this). Well... Maybe they were always there next to them.

Shizen: I like the idea that they are watching over and guiding even now.... It's comforting... But at the same time it reminds me of how much they are missed. (She looks down with a frown as she covers her teary eyes with her hand).

Rowen: (He sighs as he holds Shizen). That may be true... But to honor them is to accept it... And honor their memories and hang on to them tightly.

Shizen: (Sighs with Rowen and shakes her head yes). We both know that well... I guess I just had a moment of weakness when seeing them. Sometimes it can't be helped no matter how strong you are... But having people who care about you there when it happens helps most of all. (As she says this she holds tightly onto Rowen).

Rowen: (He holds her tightly as he sighs). And it is true. No matter how strong someone is they have feelings of missing others, but yes the people still around you... Especially the ones that care about you... Make things a little easier. (He says with a warm smile towards Shizen).

Shizen: (She still hold on tightly to the comfort Rowen gives but something still seems to be troubling her. It's a feeling of fear which the tension in her body can be felt from). ... I will admit there is something much more that has been causing this weakness though....

Rowen: (He holds her more tight as he looks concerned). What is it Shizen? You can tell me dear....

Shizen: (Her hold clenches as a greatly worried frown shows). ... It's Adara... I haven't heard from her since this morning....

Rowen: (He brings her closer to his side). ... Well just believe in her abilities because she is your daughter.

Shizen: (She looks down and holds on tightly still). I know well... But as her mother I can't help but worry like this... I just hope she does not do something impulsive to try and fix things on her own... I just have this bad feeling....

Rowen: (He kisses her head). I know... And hopefully she does not but we also will be quick to hurry to her side if she needs us.

Shizen: In my younger days I way even more impulsive. It's a instinctive thing mostly but I guess that comes from being a wild element... And Adara can be the same way... I trust her to know what she is doing... I just cannot in any way see the good she still sees... That part I will always struggle with....

Rowen: Well... It is what comes with being a mother Shizen... Children act out differently and we will always worry about them... You trying to come to terms with her doing her own thing as well... And I am sure things will work out just fine... You just have to believe in her.

Shizen: I know... I have taught her quite well to put it lightly after all... And she has that smart head of hers on top of that... But if anyone even thinks of threatening her out there I will not hesitate with ending that threat myself. (Even at the thought of that while looking out her eyes flash to a red glow for a few seconds with clenched fists before turning back when she looks down).

Rowen: (He sighs again as he pats Shizen's head to calm her anger). Do not submit yourself too that type of anger that easily. Killing is not always the answer Shizen and you know that. I believe your daughter knows how to handle herself.

Shizen: (Sighs and goes back to leaning on Rowen to try and do what he says). I have never been known to be the calmest of leaders, especially when sensing danger to those I look after... But I will try for you even in these circumstances....

Rowen: (He smiles as he holds Shizen tight). I understand and believe me it is taking everything in my power to not blow up... But I am staying calm and using the energy to go towards saving Yami.

Shizen: (Can't help but laugh lightly and shake her head in agreement). Well at least one of us is a little more tame then.

Rowen: (He smiles). That is true but I have too because I have a goal to focus on.

Shizen: (Rests her head on Rowen's shoulder again and pets a sleeping Echo). And what are your goals then... Not just here but after this is over.

Rowen: (He looks up at the sky seeing the stars shine. As he looks at them sparkle he remembers a precious moment with someone long ago. For a moment he hears a familiar voice... A voice he has not heard for a very long time). Well, one of my goals is to keep my promise to... My ex wife... To be happy, to live, and love. Even without her by my side. Someone to make more precious memories with. Someone... Like you Shizen. (As he looks back towards Shizen he has a small tear in his eyes as well as a warm smile).

Shizen: (Becomes speechless by Rowen's words putting a hand on his cheek while looking into his eyes. She wipes the tears from his eyes and feels his warm smile give her one as well). I have to say... I really like those goals... And would be more than happy to share that last goal with you.

Rowen: (He smiles past the tears and kisses her). I am really happy to hear that... And I cannot wait to complete them.

Shizen: (Puts her forehead against Rowen's and closes her eyes to savor this moment). Maybe not rush to get some of those completed... There are a lot of moments we should savor and maybe a few new ones to experience.

Rowen: (Rests his forehead to hers and places his hand on her cheek). Like this one right now...? I will gladly be patient.

Shizen: (Places her hand to hold his that is on her cheek and smiles with a small laugh). Yes, and I thought I was the one to think about rushing things... But for right now... Let's stay like this for just a little while longer.

Rowen: (He smiles as he laughs as well). Yes... Just like this... For a little longer.

Shizen: For as long as we can... I know tonight will be a restless night for all anyways.

Rowen: Yes, yes it will... But we will make it work as best we can....

Shizen: I know we will... No matter how hard things get... We will all work towards setting things right.

They spend most of the restless night in a embrace, enjoying what time they have before the upcoming unavoidable fight. They will push themselves as far as they can in this fight to make things better but try to make things less tense with each other until the upcoming morning.
